I've noticed that in FT games it will sometimes show the losers' cards and sometimes will not. (I'm talking about non-all in hands). In multi-way pots, sometimes it will show the hands of two players, but not the third or fourth.

Does anyone know what specific rules FT uses for showing cards at the end of a hand? I can't figure it out.

It all depends where the player is sitting, betting and if they have auto-muck on. If you bet after the river and I call, even if you have the losing hand your cards will be shown because I paid to see them.

To auto-muck or not to auto-muck. That is the question.

Pretty sure it works the same way as live games: the player who took the last aggressive action rolls over first then you go clockwise around the table. I suspect it probably doesn't bother rolling over additional hands that can't beat the first ones.

Note that it shouldn't have anything to do with whether you've got automuck turned on or not. Automuck is for non-showdown hands. If it's turned on your cards get mucked automatically but if it's off you get given the option to show them.

This.^^^^^ To further clarify, a showdowned hand may be mucked at the table live (an all-in of course is shown live if HU), but it will show up when you click on hand history. It will show up there for everyone at the table to see. It doesn't show up for observers.

I've noticed that. You can look at the hand history and often see what someone had, even though it didn't show it in the game itself.

Thanks for the info everyone.

BTW, the reason 2 players hands are shown (but not the others), is probably because the 2nd guy won a sidepot.
