How do you play if you live with someone who also plays on the same site and network?

Hi All,

So I have recently joined BetOnline. I love playing online and my husband would also like to start playing. When he created his account, a friend of mine told me to never play together on the same network because of cheating and what not. To be honest I didn't even think of this at all and then I looked up the rules on BetOnline and sure enough it's in there. So he hasn't touched his new account so that we don't get banned.

Do you or someone you know live with someone who also plays?

I've seen poker guys on twitch that live together and they seem to all play on poker stars even at the same time. I am not sure what the right thing here is but what I do know is that we don't want to be perceived by BetOnline as cheaters cause that is not what we want to do. Any advice?

Thanks!

Think this is easy, just email the site and tell them you live together and you wont play on the same cash tables or the same sngs. They probably wont have a problem with you playing in the same tourneys. I think sites will even look at your ip to prevent you from playing at the same table.

What exactly do their rules state? My wife and I both have accounts at a couple of sites (not BOL) and have never had any issues. As long as you don't play the same tournament, SnG, or cash table you can't possibly be colluding/cheating.

@Andrei Korolev I think we will do that! Sounds like a great idea!

@TeUnit Emailing is also a great solution. That way we can be up front and they can let us know what we should do. Thanks!

@MattRyder This is the first rule on BetOnlline: "Only one account allowed per person, family, household and IP address." https://www.betonline.ag/rules But yeah. we definitely will stay away from each other if we decide to play on the same site. But I think opening a new account for him on another site might be best. Just to play it safe.

Thanks for all the advice guys!
