HOTT ft tourney in 5 days!!

alright so there is a nice tournament starting next wednesday at like 8pm.
the tournament costs $20 to buy in. its a $200,000 gaurantee with first place taking home almost 40K. Also everyone is SUPER - stacked each player starting with 5,000 chips.

this tourney pays out the top 500 with a maximum of 12,000 entrants, but only 3,500 ppl have entered so far. anybody else think this tourney is a good idea? or would you prefer not to enter this? any opinions are greatly appreciated =] thanks

WOW!! that tourney sounds nuts!! I'd imagine it would attract quite a few people and also take 8+ hours to finish. Based on the prize pool its a good ROI if you finish well. I'm not sure I would play it though. Maybe if it was 3000 chips starting I would consider it. 5000 just seems like overkill and is gonna make for an extremely long tournament!

Sounds like a fun tourney. i personally like deep stack. must set aside a block of a few hours because its going to be a long tourney. well if u play keep us posted on how u do in it.

Totally a good idea. Top 20% getting paid. If you have all day to play, go for it. Let us know when you win that $40,000.

How do you get Top20%? Pretty sure that'll change once the lobby fills up. Another thing.... this is the MiniFTOPS #1 that OP is referring to.
It's a 6-handed MTT. Great if you like 6-handed. Personally I hate it (just not used to it and doesn't suit my 'typical' style of play).

I'll be looking to play events 4,7, 10,19, 20 & ME

I would personally see how many stelittes are running for tis event.
So I can estimate how many people ot there on freeroll and what not.
It seems like a great prizepool,but for the field I would rather play the pokerstars 11.00 tourney they have on sunday I believe.
Also cake poker has some really good guarantees right now.
I like to play them.

Ah, so this is a mini-FTOPS event. I was wondering about that. Thanks for posting the schedule. I'm probably going to try event #24 or if my bankroll is good, then the ME.
