i received an email today from hero poker stating they will be back online by june, this year.i dont know if many CC members played there, but i think it was one of the best sites for new players to build a bank roll and learn the games.hero had more free rolls than any site ive played on,and i have played on many.hero left the merge network right after felt stars, and then the sites leaving snowballed. a shame. if there are any members here that did play on hero, give me a holler.my screen name on hero was KENTUCKYMEL5. i had many buddies there, hope maybe some are CC members.

Good for Hero, the owner really put up a lot of good tournaments for beginners. I especially liked the Omaha games. And the three daily $30 guarantees. Now if we can just fund an account.

Sounds like a possible good site for me-a US player. I never heard of it before, so am looking forward to it. Keep us posted when it comes aboard. Thanks.

I sincerely doubt this. If they'd wanted to move Hero to The Winning Poker Network, they had the opportunity to do so while still keeping their player base in tact. Instead Hero simply left it's players to Merge.

This also leads me to believe Dave wont bring Hero back to the US market until it's uncontested legally.... Why give up a huge player base of US players just to try rebuilding from scratch?

The CEO of Hero, posted on 2+2 just the other day and mentioned nothing about re-opening. I sent him a couple Skype messages but I haven't spoken to him on Skype since a couple days after he shut Hero down.

His last post is #4086 (skip to the last page heh) about Terrence Chan no longer being a Hero Pro. And me posting stats of how badly I crushed Terrence at the tables :)

Hero was a Merge skin a few months ago. They have been MIA ever since then.

I miss Hero. Didn't play on there enough...looking forward to it coming back when it does. David Jung seems like a really good guy who cares about his players.

I hope you enjoyed that Papa Johns pizza from your winnings vs Terrence Chan, Kahn!

Hahahaha. I found it quite amazing when I looked it up that after battling it out and trading back and forth over $25k in bets, the difference between us amounted to $8.50. Good times :)

Yes, I like David... like I said, haven't heard from him in a while. Hopefully he'll pop back online and fill me in. Last he'd spoken about the future of Hero and some of the options available, I was quite intrigued!
