So, I made an account a long time ago at FTP with the ID: ben-rhyno.
I wasted around $50 decided it wasn't for me and tried betfair and pokerstars and preferred these. But I then decided to go back to full tilt and made a new account with the ID ben-rhyno1989. As I had deleted full tilt, I decided to make a new account when I came back to full tilt with my new ID.
So about 3 days ago I emailed full tilt enquiring about rakeback and received this:

Hello Ben,

This is to inform you that the following multiple account has been closed:

ben-rhyno1989

Your primary account ben-rhyno has been left open and you may continue using it to play.

Our policy is that one full tilt poker account is allowed per player. We cannot permit you to use any account other than your primary account. If you would like a full explanation of our site terms, please visit our website at: http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/site-terms

This closure applies to all versions of the Full Tilt Poker software originally downloaded from any of our .com, .net or .org websites.

We thank you for playing at Full Tilt Poker and appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Zbigniew
Full Tilt Poker Support

This is knowing full well that my original or primary account as they call it has not been used for around 4/5 months and the one they closed was the one with my money in and the points I had gotten when trying to clear my bonus.

Your account is not locked, they closed your second(multi) account which is standard. If you are lucky they transferred the money and points to your old account.

This is completely normal and you shouldve expected it. 4-5 months is not long at all when it comes to this sort of thing. People have gone a year or more and had the same thing happen. If you had any money in your new account im sure full tilt will move your funds over, don't expect anything more than that.

Your primary account is your first account, all subsequent accounts are a violation of the terms and conditions.

I'm sorry this has happened to you, but "thems" the rules I'm afraid.

It sucks but all you can do is try to get them to transfer the funds. These sites do catch on to things like this.

I had a similar situation but my initial/primary acct had been inactive for ~2.5 yrs:

Send a consolidation request to x-fer the funds balance ($$ & T$), Bonus Acct & FTPs to Support -- from the e-Mail associated with ben-rhyno1989 (this is a security measure, the request must come from the acct holder...even though the acct is closed ); Support then forwards the consolidation request to a Sr Cashier who will process the request.

Snipped from Support's response to my consolidation request:

...Please note that your request may take two or three business days to complete. Business days are Monday to Friday, with the exception of bank-observed holidays....

Definitely e-mail support and see if they'll transfer your funds to your primary account. Be nice though. They don't have to do anything since you violated TOS.

You can't have two names under the same ip adress. Happened to me before and I lost all the money on my first account because I was unaware of the rule.

No, you can't have 2 accounts period. It doesn't matter if they are from the same IP address or not.

Others have posted that you can have two accounts playing from the same computer, like if you and your spouse, SO, roommate, whatever both play, but its a good idea to tell FT up front that's what's going on.
