God I hate Ultimate Bet...I registerd for a 30 dollar heads up game..It was Ultra Turbo so blinds get raised quick...We play like 2 levels and i have a 50 chip advantage and all the sudden my game freezes...I exit out of the software...but now after trying 20 times in 5 minuates to get back in I cant get the software to load. Anyone else havin trobules? I was in 2 tournaments and played both for over 2 hours...and all of the sudden I play in a higher stakes game and my software freezes...So annoying i hope i can get refunded my money

Sounds like the software on your end. Or a connection problem on your end.
Maybe reboot your PC and hope that resets whatever it is on your system that screwed up. I've had to do that when I have trouble connecting to other poker sites.

Dude... I experienced the same crap way back 5 months ago when i played HU at $50 or more levels... I researched it on google and there are many ways that hackers can reverse hands (ie: take your hand you had and make it theirs) or just straight freeze and disconnect you so they win... thats why I dont play on UB anymore... stick to PStars or FullTilt...

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON UB!

I highly doubt this especially after the debacle with Helmuth getting shipped the chips for a losing hand, I'm sure they have made many security procedures to prevent further embarassment.

I do believe it was on his end his connection was lost or something I have played on UB before the new software and it froze the whole site froze and what they did is paid the remaining players according to chip stack at time of freeze up even when it wasnt ITM yet. I actually benifited from this it happened about 1 1/2 into the tournament I was sitting 10th in chips hen it froze and we were still about 300 from the money and after 4 hours a message came on screen that the tournament was being cancelled from that point on and all players would recieve prize money according to chip count, 10th normally would have got like $45 i ended up with $39

I have more trouble with freezing on Full Tilt than I have on Ultimate Bet, but I'm pretty sure it's a problem on my end that I haven't quite figured out yet. On Tilt I played in a MTT once when heads up at the final table, I had 14,000 chips and he had 16,000. He put me all in, and I won, making it 28,000 to 2,000. Then I lost my connection. Arghhhhh. By the time I got reconnected, it was over.

Gee... that's too bad. I wonder if that's karma for slowrollers on their site?

UB been good to me

I've had good luck at UB recently. There software seems to run well on my computer, for whatever reason pokerstars seems to run slow on my computer. UB has some good bonuses right now to.

sister sites

Ultimate bet and Absolute poker are sister sites. If you have payed attention to the scandels that have plagued AP, then you would be cautious about depositing and/or keeping track of weird stuff happening with certain players on UB. I hope that never happens to me, but then again i wont be playing high stakes there.

I had a bad week of experiences there. I've read other people complaining o the same so I won't be playing there anymore. Never had disconnect problems but other people were. I'll stick with bodog.

Poker site

i stick to the main poker sites online like Full Tilt and Pokerstars, i play these sites because of the range of tourneys you can play and the style of the tournaments

Jus been reading a few reviews and posts about UB and its starting to sound pretty decent w/ it's new refurbishment.

When I play in anything "big" and by "big" I mean anything over $10 entry fees, I always bring up a second computer with the poker site software loaded and ready to hit connect. Since I'm often surfing and doing other things while playing I can occasionally overload my computer so the second one gets used but seldomly.

I have to admit that the Cereus software runs slower on my computers than the original UB software did but so far it's never just hung up on me.

Thanks for the tip. I almost always use a laptop wireless to a tower that I use as a server. I will definitely bring up the software on the tower in the future. I presume you mean load up the software and hit login? if your computer fails.

Yes, I mean login. Not connect. It's worth it for the occasional time that it happens. If you have to reboot it can sometimes take a minute or so, you might miss that AA hand in the meantime.
