Okay, I totally hate UB. Never heard of a Sit & Go with Alternates! I'm used to bodog and I wish I had never put my $50 on UB!

UB is allowing alternates in their tournaments for those that can't register in time or when the tourney fills up.

UB was my first poker site and, IMO, still has the best software. But yes, their STT/MTT action is a bit odd. I like their cash tables, though. I wonder if/when they'll merge customer accounts with Absolute and which software platform they'll use.

Yep. Soon they'll be debuting "War" and "Acey Duecy". Followed soon after by "Pick a hand".

Pick a hand NLHE would be pretty awesome - I can only imagine the number of donks you'd get picking 86s or whatever because it's their 'lucky hand'.

Well if you've lost any money, forget about getting it back. Ultimate Bet's minimum cash out is $50 from what i remember.

TBH I didn't research it any farther than to find the UB link and post it. But the third sentence on the page says, "Starting Tuesday November 8th, Alternates will be available on all our real money tournaments." It doesn't specify SNGs or not anywhere on the page so I made an assumption that buying into a SNG with real money, would be considered a real money tournment. I have some $$ there, maybe I'll see if I can do it for SNG to either confirm or deny.

Please let us know, as UB is my fav SNG site. It would certainly be a big surprise if they allow it on a single table tournament; pretty much it would change the entire nature of a SNG, as theoretically an "unlimited" number of people could sign up (!) for what used to be a ten person contest.

Did a little more digging. It appears that this is A) only for scheduled tournament, not single or multi-table SNGs, and B) only for certain tournaments noted as "Open-Alt" in their status column.
