Harrington

Any beginners, buy his book. It is the best around. Don't mind what you hear about super system etc. It would be great to see another book coming out using the scenario-question and answer type format. Helps so much. Maybe there is another book similar. If there is someone might let me know. Cheers

Have you even read Super system? Harrington on Holdem wasn't meant to even compete with Super system. They are completely different books with different targets, both hit their mark exquisitely. SS is an advanced srategy book that covers a myriad of games, and HOH 1&2 are well...about tournament Holdem. To compare the two is apples to oranges.

Sorry, I should have qualified my statement. What I meant was in relation to no limit hold em. This is the only game I've got my head around any bit yet! But I'd also have to say that super system is not a book for beginners in no limit.

Harrington's books are NOT for beginners. although I wouldn't steer any motivated begginer away from them. I'm confident that 5 years from now Harrington on Hold 'em, vol 1,2 and 3 will be the seminal work on no limit tournament play.

I love harringtons book and found that it helped my game alot. I also liked Mike Caro's book on tells. Does any one else know of any books on tells by other authors?

Volume 3????? Is there really a volume 3 on it's way.

Agree wholeheartedly - not for beginners, but great reading. Just hit big money in tournament thanks to his endgame tips in volume 2. Haven't finished it yet, when I do watch out!
