I recently visited this casino. I was dissapointed to say the least. They had no live poker tables, no roulette, no blackjack, and no alcohol being served. They had slots from wall to wall. If you like playing live poker like myself this isnt the casino 4 you. I was wondering yalls thoughts on casinos that dont offer Live tabels of any kind. I love Harrahs Metropolis IL and Tunica MS But i want be back to Harrahs NC!!!

Most of that is based on state law, Just like here in Pennsylvania they are working on a table games law, Nothing to be blamed on Harrahs Im sure they are pushing for NC to allow table games as well.

wow a computer casino? bet thats pretty dull.
It's a shame to hear all these silly American gambling laws. America is the home of gambling innit?

They've been "working" on putting in a card room for years there. I don't think it will ever happen though. My main gripe with them is the no alcohol policy. The Cherokee don't allow the Fire Water.

They do have new computerized poker tables. It's basically like internet poker, but you are at a table sitting with your opponents.

Cherokee is no good

My wife and I went up to Cherokee one night while visiting Asheville. It was OK since she like slont and we came out about plus $30, but for someone that likes cards, it is a waste of time. Head to AC or Mississippi. I like not just like poker but live blackjack. The opponents being there is certainly a huge factor for poker, but the tactile sensations of the chips and cards is a big draw for playing live. I would like to see North Carolina change the gaming laws, but it won't happen any time this century.

They do have pokertek pokerpro tables there, I didn't mind them. 40+ hands an hour vs 25-30 with cards and chips, and no need to tip the dealer.

Also they recently passed a law to allow alcohol, it just hasn't been instated yet, although I have not been following it.

They do also have electronic blackjack where the computer deals you the cards but you bet with real chips.
