Wow this pokerroom , excuse me they call it a poker lounge was incredible. They had a guy taking sports bets while you where at the table !! Im going back to vegas in january and really haven't played holdem anywhere else besides hard rock and mandalay bay. Can anyone tell me another good casino on the strip that was well managed . So I can try a new place? Well here is the pics of the new poker lounge at the hardrock.

Hey, you left out a lot of important stuff, like, did you win? And do they offer freebies like food?

Very nice, I've been through the Hard Rock several times. Didn't know they had a poker room now. The pics look great! I wonder how stiff the competition is? I know it is a very expensive hotel.
I've played up an down the strip. According to a few dealers, the softest 1-2 NL games are at the stratosphere and Harrahs. Freemont st is fun, but stiff competition. I have had luck at MGM. PLenty of tourists sitting around "playing their cards" If you play the players well, and exercise a little patience, you'll win money.

I lived in Vegas for the last 6 mos. I have won a lot of money in $4-8 at the MGM. I play regularly at the Palms, tho it's got quite a small poker room. I also enjoy the games at a small casino called the Carson Valley Inn, just south of Lake Tahoe. Great poker room, there!

I used to travel t vegas once every 9 weeks and have stayed at about all the casno's. Then I stayed at the HardRock, won't stay at any other casino now.

You can park and go straight to your room without walking a half mile past slot machines. Great concerts, food and ambiance as well as some good poker to enjoy. +++ IMO

oh ya, that bar right across the street to the east is pretty fun too:p

Would that be the Hofbrauhaus, The German bar? I went there a few weeks ago, for the 1st time; beer quite expensive but good. Band was excellent! We're going to have to go there, Steve, me and you!

You're on Jane, I'll buy the first round! I plan to stay at HR durig CC's Vegas 09 bash (that is unless I find a better place to crash)

Dad is slated to go to the hospital, tomorrow...don't know how long he'll stay there...but I believe I'll be out of NJ long before the CC meet and Greet in June. Should have a place, by then.

Very expensive is a bit of an understatement ($230 pn for June 09). Having just been to Vegas for the 1st time, time spent in your hotel room is minimal. Granted you want somewhere pleasant, clean and within distance of where the "action" is, but $230 a night is way overboard.
