Anyone have a hand they are just allergic to? Like A6o?

I'm not really talking about such bad rags as to be unplayable, I'm talkin' personal bias. :p

the only Aces i will play are A-anything suited and only A-9 higher. ive just lost too much $ playing Aces with low kickers offsuit. the odds of hitting your 2 pr with the shitty kicker are very low. However, if im in a blind with an Ace-whatever, i will play that hand 90% of the time.

I should fold QQ when I get it. Seems like my ladies get cracked everytime.

I completely agree with the above post about A-x I was int he habit of putting WAY too much value on the A, and not considering the kicker. Eventually I learned to be more selective of my starting hands. the other hand I virtually refuse to play is J-9 o or s.

KTo is death! For the 3 times you either make 2 pair or the broadway straight, you'll lose with it a hundred times.

A8o, that one's cost me a lot of chips when it gets shorthanded at the end of tourneys. Lost 700k with it on one hand taking me from chipleader to second shortstack.

I am really gonna start folding QQ preflop. (not a joke)
Over the last 27K hands they were up against AA or KK about 30% of the time. Even when they are not, they lose to other hands like 50% of the time. Oh yeah, the other 20% is when i win the F**KING blinds!!!

That's just about the ONLY time I win with QQ is when I bet big enough PF that everyone folds. But then you're skeered to bet big because you know you'll get that one caller who catches and A on the board and turnes over A-rag and you think WTF and kick your dog*.

*note: I have never kicked my dog and you shouldn't either :D .

I always fold A-Xo.

The last three A-A I've been dealt have been cracked, first time I thought 'it happens', second time I thought 'damn that's unlucky seeing as odds state A-A win 50% of the time', third time I seriously began to wonder what I had done to upset the poker gods.

Quite like Q-8s always seem to hit with this hand.

I hesitated before replying to this thread because there's just too many hands that I'm prepared to fold pre-flop that answering the question just wasn't worth the time it would take. But after thinking about it and actually reading the question posed by slgalt, "Anyone have a hand they are just allergic to?" I have to admit that I'm not really opposed to playing any hand if I have good odds.

I use to routinely fold hands like: 73o, 43o, J4o, 32s, 63o, Q7o, 43s, A3o, T6s, 54o, Q5s, 92s, Q9o, 93s, Q6s, 85o, 93o, K3s, K4s, J2o, Q2o, 84o, A2o, 83s, T3s, T2s, J5s, 97s, Q8s, 94s, 42s, 86o, Q6o, 86s, 32o, 74s, 53s, Q4o, J2s, 64o, J8s, K9o, K2s, J3o, 64s, 63s, 87o, 92o, 73o, 42o, Q3s, K6s, 62s, T3o, 83o, 53o, 74o, T2o, 52s, 52o, J6o, 95o, 84s, 72s, 75o, J3s, 82s (thanks zachvac for the write up). But if I'm holding one of those hands when I'm in the BB or SB with a mini-raise from the player immediately to my left followed by a long series of calls, I will make that call. The implied odds are, more often than not, huge and setting up a check-raise is very profitable. Likewise, if there is a mini or small bet made from someone in EP and there are four or more callers while I'm on the Button, I'll pay it off for the same reason. Obviously this doesn't happen too often, and that's why it's worth it (at least to me) to make the call.

Past that, the only hand(s) that makes me jittery are KJ and KT from EP or Early MP.

Limit is like that High School girl you had a crush on; not a lot of guys had the discipline to respect to treat her right in hopes of getting paid off, while no Limit is like that girl's slutty sister that EVERYONE really wants to play with!

LOL, best sig ever. :)

Oh I will as well, it's just that so far I haven't been in a position to make that call. Note that there are a lot of trash hands that aren't on this list (another scenario is it's folded to me on the button and the SB and BB are very tight preflop, I'll steal the blinds).
