So for anyone who may already know based on this thread, https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-goals-challenges-wins-46/bluffmeallins-brr-challenge-232052/, I have been in a recovery of my BR for a while now and happy to report it has been going well.

This now brings to mind a topic that I thought would be good for discussion. Is it standard to have BR's spread accross multiple sites, or would it be better to have it on a single site for more cushion and ability to grind at a higher stake given that my current BR's are all rather micro small (obv if you have 10k on 3 sites this probably doesn't apply, although it still could).

Personally I am actually enjoying having three options of sites at the moment that have funds on them, and I guess to be technical It's only on two because of how easy it is to transfer between Stars/FTP now, but then I also have carbon (thanks to cc I might add). Each of these sites to me provide something the others don't and perhaps this is the reason I would rather not consolidate to a single BR but continue to slowely build on all three.

Just a quick summary of what I like specifically about each site that keeps me going there (Obviously cc freerolls are a given, but in reference to an already existing BR):

FTP --> Micro STT's (.50 and up)
PSTARS --> Micro SNG's & MTT's (.25c sng's and .50c mtt's)
Carbon --> DON's, CC Buyins

So I pose this question to masses, any feedback on your thoughts of having a bankroll on multiple sites is welcome. If you do perhaps you could list the sites and why you enjoy being able to play on that site at times as opposed to others? Obviously we are not picky for sure if we can get a BR going from nothing we would do it anywhere but barring this where do you have a BR now. Perhaps it would be better to consolidate and grind, look forward to all your thoughts regarding.

I personally have all of my funds on one site.

This is pokerstars cause its the one i play. I cant be bothered playing on mutiple sites as im not used to the software and would feel like im "scattered" all over the place.

My opinion is stick to 1 site. Play a particular format and keep all of your funds in one place in order to be able to easily keep track of your progress.

thats what i do at least.

Cause for example, if i have like 200 bucks on stars and then another 150 on full-tilt, it would be like WEIRD, cause im a 6max cash game player (for the most part) and not having my entire roll on the site that i am playing would kinda make me feel like im a bit under-rolled.

You feel me bra? ;):p

EDIT: lemme add the fact that when im trying to unlock things like VPP bonuses or smthng like that, i would prefer to stick to the site im playing in order to unlock the bonus as fast as possible than to play alittle bit here and a little bit there.

I do have rolls on more than one site,, Currently Pokerstars,888 & Titan and a $11 ticket on carbon (thanks to CC). As far as BRM i dont think it matters if you have it over several sites. My main site is pokerstars but i play the others for variation and a change of scenery , Its a bit like playing live in different casino's. Because i'm in the UK it is very easy and quick to move funds around if i need to.

I certainly feel ya bra lol, As I have bolded a couple of points in your post I think its certainly valid items that would benefit most from having your entire roll on a single site. Essentially if playing strictly cash, or at least mainly, then it would certainly make the most sense to have your br on a single site as I don't think you will find many cash game players who grind on multiple sites and mainly for the reason you pointed out in your Edit.

When grinding cash especially you are looking to move up the limits as fast as the BR will allow and gain bonuses (via vpp/fpp) also as quickly as possible to get the most out of the rake the sites are snagging from you. Also cash is cash regardless of where you play, might be softer in some places than other but its still the same for the most part with available limits etc (and of course stars has the uber traffic for table selection and all them goodies).

I think eventually once I get back into the cash game scene, I know I will get back there but for the time being am mainly focusing on STT's and some SNG's (45man etc) and its nice to change it up from time to time with going over to Carbon and grinding some DON's (or maybe even a little blackjack if I'm not in the poker mood although I'm always in the poker mood usually haha).

Thanks for the post vinyl, much appreciated to get other players views regarding and you pointed out certainly some great points as to why consolidating on a single site, especially when it comes to cash games, makes the most sense. I guess for an MTT player it could be quite the opposite so that they could take advantage of the best tournaments which most if not all sites have some comparable in gtd monies and so play multiple sites at the same time.

Yeah I think as far as BRM is concerned you can look at the combined BR when determining how to approach your best BRM for what you play, and especially if can quickly move the funds around if required (this is one thing i like now regarding PSTARS and FTP its just a quick transfer from one to the other, well unless you have bonuses in progress on stars in which case it kills your active bonus to transfer to tilt as its considered a withdrawel).

I am currently viewing each site seperately myself as far as BRM is concerned and I think my take on this is because BRM is something I never took as a concept in the past before I got involved with CC (I knew it existed but tilt jumped levels so easily that I basically ignored it trying to chase losses). So to keep myself keen on making BRM an natural thought and instinct for me I practice it among the sites individual (at least once I have enough of a BR to take it into consideration).

Thanks for the post and input, I be hoping to get many more views from others and also interesting to see which sites people do in fact play at (I play a lot but just havn't managed to keep a BR going from nothing at places like 888, titan etc).

Yea man, i guess if your doing tournamnets,you must be looking at multiple sites looking for the best payout structures and softest fields perhaps.

So makes sense that tourney players would be looking to play at more than one places.

All in all thanks for the reply and good luck in getting the info your looking for.:shakehand
