So I started playing poker again a few months back or a little more, made a $150 deposit to bodog and started playing. I mainly play $10 sng's although I didn't really have a good bankroll management strategy when I started back (I do now!). I nearly went bust. Down to about $18 at one point (woulda gone bust without the bonus :p). Came back and started winning, got all the way up to the $480 from a low of $18 and initial deposit of $150.

I got a bit overconfident and a losing streak started. Lost back down to $160. I took time off, bought and read HoH I and II. Came back and analyzed my hand histories and decided I was making some mistakes in certain situations technically and I was letting myself get on tilt by trying to "make up" losses quickly. Started playing again and was much more disciplined, patient and stopped making alot of the plays that were killing me before.

I just finished (about 10 minutes ago) a 6 table session over at bodog ($10+$1 sngs). I finished 1st in all 6 and my bankroll is up to $670 now. (Up $237 today alone and up ~$470 this week!) I know swings can and will happen both ways and it's going good now but I'm far more prepared for the next string of bad beats than I was a month ago.

Might be fairly low stakes to alot of you but I couldn't be happier, my game still is far from perfect but it's improving and alot of what i've read here on these forums has helped tremendously. If this keeps up I'll be in the $20 sngs soon! (I'm shooting for 35 buy ins personally before I move up so i need to get to $770).

Thanks CC :D

The stakes don't matter. Great job! Stay patient, and keep practicing good bankroll management. It makes a HUGE difference (as you are finding out :) ).
