I wanna talk a little about global poker.... I live in Kentucky which has no casinos and is really hard to play any online sites. Global seemed like a decent site at first but at this point it really seems like the win/lose swings are ridiculously over the top. Seems like every time you receive solid pocket pairs, someone else receives them also an usually better pairs or they hit a set or 4 of a kind on the flop. I know people bitch about this sort of thing all the time and maybe i have just been running extremely horrible.... but it just seems a little fishy the way the site runs. Ive played poker for around 12 years now online and live and the way the cards run on this site are extremely crazy. Makes me feel like they have some sort of player algorithm that sucks you in in a way and then they just run you horrible when you really get your money involved. Idk. I would just really like a trustworthy site i can depend on and can't seem to find that. I got robbed for about 700$ on full flush poker whenever they shut down, and not long after for about 150$ on bet online poker. Not sure what to do at this point.... may just stick to driving 2 hours to Illinois to play live, even though the casino is garbage.....like wtf. Can someone not just offer a legitimate site like poker stars in the US.....? Sick of basically burning my money.. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I know what you mean D3CISION and being fed up is how I found this thread, and It is very fishy. No matter what pocket pair I have, A's, K's, 10's, and my most recent minutes ago, 8's, i'll hit trips each time and someone will have a flush... Or i'll have 2 top pair on the flop, and someone gets dealt a straight over and over again. It seems the more you deposit, the faster you'll lose. Swap to gold coins, and it's not like that as much as using the sweepscash. I think I've made my last deposit. ACR isn't to bad, but their site seems to have bad connection issues. Tried ignition and betonline, but I advise you to stay away from them as well. I'm beginning to believe that there will never be an honest online poker site.. Good luck buddy.... :(

Global poker rigged

I have never seen so many suck outs on the river. Continues to amaze me how 5%ers keep winning. Really has to make me think that this site is rigged I cannot be unlucky for this long period of time nobody is! Use extra caution at this site.

I have a suspicion that the RNG on Global feels worse... not because it is but due to the fact that there is an insane number of donks and fishes.

I have never seen such a loose environment in all of my days playing Online Poker.

In micro sit and goes... it's not uncommon for the majority of the table to be evolved in every hand... even after a 3 or 4 bet.

More people playing till the river (even when they shouldn't) means there will always be a higher number of river suck-outs.

I just think some of the bigger sites weight the deck to entice action, more in cash games than MTT play - bigger pots gives them more rake and hitting that rake cap more often, more profit. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see it in freerolls with no buy-ins either. They don't want you building a huge bank roll without paying them off you know.

With that said, if you're good and you turn your 2.50 first place win into a 25k, then the rake you made for them easily made up for the 2.50 they gave you to start up.

Effed if I know - variance and all that. But I really wouldn't be surprised to see some heavy weighting in on demand, no buy-in freerolls for that purpose alone.

Global

I have certainly seen many flops and run outs on global that happen what seems like a lot more than they should. Lot of flop 2 flushes, many paired boards, often a flop with both a flush and straight draw. Lot of flopped a and k, not many 2 and 3. It seems like the odds don't work. It doesn't seem to favor any one player, it just seems very odd.

I totally agree that something is not right with this site. I'm not necessarily saying it is rigged, but the RNG is not right and I do not think they mention anywhere that it is audited and certified to be random. I constantly get beat with power hands with 4 flush cards hitting on the board and see a lot of other very low percentage beats. Some of this could be attributed to bad players playing garbage, but it still seems a bit much. I also don't understand how they are "legal" when many other sites, even membership sites are not considered legal in all states. I live in Mississippi and I cannot play on any of the membership sites anymore. At one time Pureplay would accept members here, but no more. I don't understand how Global could be legal and membership "sweepstakes" sites not.

There is no way I would risk any substantial sums on ANY offshore poker site. :)

If you want to try another site that is legal in the US I would try Bovada. Some of the beats had been bad but I still manage to win more than I lose. Here is a referral is interested. It will give you a bonus or 2
https://www.bovada.lv/welcome/P45B5B57/join/?extcmpid=rafcopy

Bovada is an ignition Poker skin, or at least appears to be. I've played for years on Ignition since the days it was bodog poker and have managed to stay ahead without having to constantly re-deposit as I do on Global and other sites. Ignition / Global also takes steps to avoid people from following weak players around and feeding on them and collusion, as you don't have a screen name there, but are assigned a seat number on each game or tourney. They have also recently changed their chat to a series of canned phrases and emoticons so there is no insulting or non appropriate chat. This does lead to a bit of a sterile environment, but it also indicates to me that they are making an effort to keep things on the up and up. I have seen a lot less horrific beats and miracle hands on here than other sites, but that could also be because it is a bit harder to deposit / withdraw with Bitcoin being the best overall option.

Igave up on that site immediately.
this was within the first 3 months of them opening:

1 first red flag was using paypal to process deposits and withdrawals. They (paypal) have strict policy against any kind of gambling and while many got away with it, paypal was bound to catch up eventually.

Second redflag one was promise of $2 to try the site out. This turned out to be a joke because I couldn't tell how many players on a table and the one I chose had one player that just went all in everyhand so I quite after 3 was down to around $1.5 and could not use it cause min buyin was $2

Consequently See ya = would never deposit with ya....

Just my opinion

Global poker post

Just wanted to let the person from Kentucky know I been playing on Global for a couple of years. When I first signed up I was the one catching all the river cards as well as the good flops. After a wining streak of about 4 weeks with cash outs of 8x my deposit there was a dramatic change and I seldom have a cash out that is more than 2x deposit. Have been playing online and live for 20 + years only other site I use is Bovada, but getting payment is a pain.

play only freerolls this is safe for your bankroll

I would love to be able to play at pokerstars again. U.S. is supposed to be the most free country in the world, yet we can't choose where to play online games :(

Never played on Global but from what I can tell from these comments here and across the internet....it sounds massively shady and will only harm the US poker cause not help it. If online poker is ever going to return full force here, bad actor sites can not be representative of what online poker is when shown to regulators and lawmakers. And it sounds like Global with it's "sweepstakes" setup is toeing a fine line.

GP is great for me.

I started at Global poker when they first came online in December 2016. I signed up, got 25,000 gold coins and $2 sweeps cash. I never made a deposit and have had over 50 cashouts between 75 and 400 dollars. They paid within 24 hrs directly into your pay pal acct ( they paid the fee ) until recently. Now they pay within 24 hrs by direct deposit to your bank acct. How can that be bad? Get to know the site and I think you will like it, I love it and play it every day.

I'm also in US . I've been playing at ACR now for about a year and I like the site . They had some cyber attack problems awhile back , but everything has running well for quite some time now ,so I think they got everything fixed .

I've only played on Global a couple times. I have never gone back because of the two experiences I've had on the site. The suckouts blew my mind. Sticking with ACR even through all the DDOS attacks.

They have some really good overlays on the tournaments and I have some friends locally that have won there, I've just had some horrific bad beats fairly regularly.

Won't hurt to try it I suppose, it is convenient, I just wouldn't put a lot of money at risk.
