Surely many in the world see what is happening now in Belarus. Constant rallies, detentions of people, the European Parliament imposes sanctions against the Belarusian authorities. A couple of days ago, I signed up at GGPoker and was looking forward to the $ 11 bonus. But the administration of the poker room refused me this bonus. For some reason, only Belarusians from the CIS countries do not receive this bonus. Why do I think? Maybe this is due to the political situation in Belarus? Why do you think Belarusians were excluded from the list to receive this bonus?

What does politics or your nationality have to do with it? They didn't give me this bonus on PokerOK either, and to hell with it :D

So what is the motivation behind this? You have not answered the question. All CIS countries are given a bonus, but Belarusians are not. What is your opinion on this? Apart from politics, I don't see anything else here, what's the point of the GGPoker administration not to give Belarusians a bonus?

First of all, I'm pretty sure you're confusing GGpoker and GGpokerOK here, as GGpoker doesn't accept new players from CIS for quite some time.

Secondly, GGpokerOK didn't provide this bonus for Belarusians way before all of this election mess started. And no one knows the reason why.

And thirdly, I don't understand how the political situation can influence bonuses for the new players. Like if you are concerned about it or think there are some risks in particular market, then you just don't enter this market whatsoever (= don't accept any players at all from there) and not just limit some bonus that is like pennies for a poker room.

I am from Russia and they did not explain the reason. Stop talking nonsense about politics and whining about all sorts of little things. If the support didn't tell you that, what will tell you on the forum?

hello iwont20 whats up?;)

my guess is too many people from belarussia abused this bonus by creating fake accounts under friends names. thats why GG probably decided to no more give the bonus to this country. but this is just a guess by me. its kind of weird they would exlclude only belarussia for this so obv there could be some other reasons behind it. i dont think the political situation had something to do with it.

poker sites are private companies, and like other private companies they can choose to sell their product at different prices or on different terms in different markets. If you are buying a pair of branded jeans or a new car, the price is also not the same in every country. At the end of the day, if you dont find a particular product attractive, you are free to not purchase it ;)

Or maybe Belarussia is just not a very attractive market for poker sites. Maybe its a market with many "for profit" players and few net depositing recreational players. And in that case why would a poker site throw away money on bonuses or other rewards to make more people from Belarussia sign up?

It should be a free economy , with many options to choose and buy , many alternative companies , but no , it isn't . In countries like canada or UK you have this freedom , in most others no , free economy is fake , we might not have socialist system , but governments intervere all the time , rigging the system . Rigged economies with centralised oligopolies or even in important sectors monopolies .

Officially I can play poker in my country in 2 big rooms and 1 or 2 very small problematic very small poker rooms . All others are not in the official government list , most are blocked , one only although it is in the black list I have access there without VPN .

So no freedom of choices , not many choices . It's so crazy , to be able to deposit but your money is not good enough
Disqualification from freerolls why? Set wager rules ,not disqualify . Banned from challenges , why all Greeks or all people from country ?

This is violation of free economy rules , discrimination over your money , WITHOUT explanations .
Multinational companies can decide whether they'll go to s country or decide to leave from it. But when you have businesses in this country , if government doesn't demand other way, you have to follow rules and laws , respect the customers and their rights , treat them with degnicy .give them a quality product , Same Chances !!! respect their money .

I wouldn't say money from Algeria or Nigeria is not good or the same , as long as I operate there I should respect the customers , not treat them like second or third class or world people . The product should have the same Basic characteristics , not different because of different people .

So , do I have money , can I deposit ? Respect this , respect my rights , or else be gone

Hiii! :hello:

Yeah, I probably didn't word my third point properly. I meant that I don't understand the topic starter's logic in connecting the political situation and bonuses. Like have the room been concerned with it, it would have banned the whole country and all the players from there altogether.

I do agree that the reason behind it is close to what you and Fundiver199 posted. That's why it's not announced publicly. Belarus used to have some problems with deposits/withdrawals from cards as well, unlike other countries of the region. It's safe to say that for this network Belarus is a country of not much importance.

yeah thats probably it. they just dont see any need to promote the site there as they not expect enough profit in return for doing so.

Exactly. Its a business decision. They dont expect enough profit in return for offering this sign-up bonus in Belarus. Could be people cheating by creating extra accounts in the name of their friends. But it could also just be to many people signing up, recieving the bonus and then never playing enough regular games to pay significant rake, before they withdraw the free money. In a rich country few people will bother to sign up on a gambling site just to get their hold on 11$, but in a country like Belarus it might be different.

This is not the first thread, where someone complain about this kind of "discrimination". We have also seen people complain, why 888 Poker has a weekly 300$ CC freeroll only for canadian players, or the new monthly 1.000$ CC freerolls on pokerstars for select countrys. And its rather puzzling to me, why so many people think, poker sites owe them freerolls or bonuses. Where does this entitlement come from?

And finally if you are a "for profit" player, why do you even care about an 11$ sign-up bonus? If you are winning money at the tables, then why does the poker site need to give you rewards? In the long run it also benefits you, that they target their reward programs to attract more losing players to the site.

So even I cant play it, I love the weekly 300$ CC freeroll for canadian player. This and other promotions help to attract more canadians to 888 Poker, and in general this is making the games better. Of course not all canadian players are huge fish, but there is a way higher percentage of true recreational players among the canadians on 888 than among the players from Belarus.
