I dont know about all u guys, but in a tourney....(mostly online, sometimes live) when i get moved to a different table, my play gets drastically worse. I finally have all other 8 or so players figured out(for the most part) and then i get moved and have to figure out 8 new players strategies. Then again, i guess it's part of the game and the pros most likely have no problem with it.

Thoughts, comments, experiences greatly appreciated.

i had the same problem at first. what i do know is not call any hands for a turn or so around the table(unless i get a monster starter). just study the others for a bit. its been working for me. also keep notes on players who stand out so if you get moved back with them you have an idea about them.

What's worse is going on a nice run, and busting a couple of players, maybe getting over 10,000 chips, and watching their seats get filled with guys with 30,000 chips.

I hate switching tables, I never know about the players there. I know the way the players play at my tables. Being switched makes it a lot worse. I try not to play the first 5 hands in a new table.

I think the same, after being moved my game goes down. So what I do is sit tight, tighten my game, watch the others play and then slowly join the game again after I've seem them play some.

I agree 100%. It seems like it always happens when I am winning at a particular table. And, I have tried to figure out any other way they could be moving people and it seems to be random except for fact that I am winning.

I keep getting moved repeatedly so that I may not get to play a hand for 10 minutes (especially if blinds are on top). This gets even more fustrating when starting a game, as people can be up to 3000+ by the time I manage to play a few hands. Maybe if people realise that a 72o is not an all-in hand, the large first hand player drop-out (via all-in) will cease to be, and there wouldn't be so much need to keep shuffling players during the first 15 mins of the tourney.

Am I right or am I right? (or am I arrogant!)

as u doesn't know players at the new tables as they don't know you.
i usually play few hands aggressive, and after that i'm tightening my game.

Being moved is one thing, but when your moved back to back to back and dont get to even see a hand for 5 to 10 mins while your being bounced around the tables...thats frustrating...makes hard to get in that zone u need to be in to play.

Once you get moved, just play tight for a few hands, you'll eventually figure out the players and then you can go right back to playing your game.

Well thats a part of the tournament game. But it shouldnt be such a big problem, all you have to do when you just got transferred to a new table is to close up your game for a couple of minutes. And only play monster starters, or if you got the position and descent cards.. Just for a little while so you get some feedback on the players your dealing with.

But I sure agree, its annoying but it should'nt turn into a problem.
