re: Poker & getting bad beat to death ok but this is not right'
Guys, as a very active member of Cardschat for the last month, I have read and engaged in countless thread discussions about bad beats and suck outs in freeroll tournaments or at play money ring tables. Does it stink? You bet it does! Does it send your blood pressure through the roof to watch your KK get put out of the tourney by J7 offsuit? Absolutely!
But as long as we play these shooting gallery freebies, it's going to happen...often. Probably 8 out of 10 times that we sit down. It's the nature of the beast. I've made a personal decision to stop wasting time and energy bitching and moaning over my voluntary involvement in something that I know beforehand is going to make me crazy. The freerolls
and play money games are chock full of beginners without a clue and just plain horrible poker players who have no concept of the game. If you're going to swim in those waters, be prepared for floating garbage.
When it gets too much to bear, I have a suggestion. Grab your plastic or your bank account number, enlist a funding agent, drop some hard-earned cash into the cage at your favorite site, and step up to the plate for some true risky business. Bad beats will still happen, but it's been my experience that the frequency plummets in direct proportion to how much the other guy has to lose.
