Hey guys, I have a question regarding how tourney dollars work. If i had like 11 T dollars but the buy in for a tournament i wanted to enter was like 12 dollars. Would that mean they would take an extra dollar from my full tilt account.

Yes, it actually gives you the option of how many T$'s and how much real cash you want to use.

Yes, it actually gives you the option of how many T$'s and how much real cash you want to use.

ie. you could use 5-T$'s + $7 (or whatever combination you choose)

You can combine your money and cash for the game. It is your choice how to use the funds you have.

That's interesting to know that Full Tilt allows you to decide whether to use tourney dollars or cash from your bankroll or whether to mix and match to enter a tourney or a SnG. I play on pokerstars and unless I can tick a box that does otherwise, it will always take your buy in from your tourney dollars, except for cash games of course. Personally, it would be quite nice to have the choice because I like saving my tourney dollars for specific tourneys/satellites rather than having to use them on SnGs. Interesting to see how different sites have different ways of doing things.

Can I ask why you like doing this? Cash and t$ are equivalent so you might as use you the tourney dollars up if you are going to playing sngs and tourneys anyhow...
