Dear Madness_does,

As a player on full tilt poker, you may be aware of the recent settlement reached with the U.S. Department of Justice (the "DOJ").

Full Tilt Poker will not offer real money online poker in the U.S. until it is permissible to do so under relevant law
.

In relation to your account balance, you will have the opportunity to file petition with the DOJ through a remission process which will be administrated by the DOJ.

In light of the above, only play chip games will be available to Full Tilt Poker players in the U.S. following re-launch, in the first week of November, 2012. Your Full Tilt Points balance will remain intact in your account.

Please note that we are unable to answer queries in relation to your funds - all such questions should be directed to the DOJ in accordance with the procedure to be defined by them.

Please retain this email for your records.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker

I like the part where is says I have to file a petition with the Department of Justice just to get back my money that they stole from me. Are they insane, yeah like I want to deal with the DOJ. screw that, I only had 20 bucks in there thank god, I can drink 20 bucks watching a baseball game, just thought I would share this email with the CC players for food for thought. Had it maybe be 500 or 1000 dollars I would probably try and file, but for 20 bucks screw it they can keep it.

Does anyone know if we will be notified by the DOJ when and how this "remission process" works? E-mail, snail mail, no mail? Or will we have to find it for ourselves? My search engine works fine except when I'm trying to use it.

Yeah. I thought that it was already pretty-well established that this would be the procedure. Maybe the only thing new is that they are actually sending out e-mails confirming this, but aside from that, not much in the way of news here.

They should really look into all the accounts that FT closed for no reason and just stole those people monies and there should be some way for those folks to also get their piece in all this. For FTP to close peoples accounts on some moral high ground (many times with no answers to anything) since FTP played abouve as fair with people as bernie madoff did. I just think if anyone had an account on FTP that was closed without any real evidence, those people should have some kind of balance sheet too. OH but they cant cause their accounts were just closed and money stolen.

From what I've read, the DoJ decided to control how US players would get access to their money.

They only let Stars decide for non-US. They took the obvious route, so the money will simply be in our FTP accounts when it reopens next month.

Really??? Haven't you been down this road before only to be proven wrong? Yet you still want to blame the US player and claim that playing poker in the US was/is illegal?

I have no idea what your problem with the US poker playing public is but once again you're dead ****ing wrong. Playing online poker from the US was/is not illegal (with Washington State being the possible exception). Playing poker online from the US does NOT EQUAL buying drugs. Your posts on the subject are now beyond misinformed (because you damn well know better) to just plain stupid and mean-spirited.

How he is so mad? Everyone's in the same boat. Look at other Ponzi schemes, most investors never, ever get their money back. Sure, he has to jump through some hoops, but it's still an amazing result and great news for everyone. My reply was as ludicrous as his initial post.

No your reply was consistent with you blaming the US poker player for the shutdown and claiming that all US players were breaking the law.

As for the OP maybe he just woke up from a 3 month nap.

I would hope that FTP/Stars find out the procedure for US players and send us all an email with exact procedures.

They should do this because in any other case they will be constantly bombarded with questions. Whether or not they say please don't send us questions.

I got people who can help you here... Really!

You may just want to leave well enough alone, however..... :)

So I can assume that black helicopter that makes no sound that's been flying over my apartment the last few days is the DOJ trying to return my Full Tilt money ?

This is a joke. Do they really expect me to fight the DOJ to get back MY MONEY THEY STOLE?
I cant wait until all the huge Vegas casinos jump on board legal US online poker. Thats when I'll laugh my ass off watching
FT and PS shrivel up and blow away. Screw you both, you can keep my $56, I'm perfectly happy at Merge tables. :D

I didn't get an email--am I alone in that?

The only new wrinkle I can see is we'll be able to do the play money thing there. Not interested in that of course unless they have a home games feature, which could broaden CC's Special Event horizon.
