Fullflush no late registrations

What do you think about not being able to register late in any tournaments at fullflush?

I'm not a big fan of them not having late registration. In fact registration ends a minute or two early. The game will list a "Full" even with a minute or two until its start time. wtf? I think part of it has to do with the fact that every MTT has a set payout structure. Some pay 20 places, some 25, and others as many as 50 places. Ipersonally wish they payout structures better reflected the number of entrants in a given MTT.

I really like the no late registration format and always have. It really irritates me when late registration players jump in after you been grinding a MTT for an hour and push ATC to double their stack.

If that is a strategy then gl 2 them. I do prefer blinds at around 100/200 making 5BB = 1000 you get the appropriate response when isolating with that kind of raise as apposed to a 100 raise in the beginning.

That said I still prefer arriving on time and getting to know my table. If I peak to find rockets, I'm not complaining. =) What does get frustrating is the moving goal posts, grinding away but the number of opponents remaining keeps getting more. =/

Seems like that would be very +EV for us then....

I don't get your issue with it.

Anyway, why people who are into MTT's are on FF is beyond me...

Don't really like late registration more than 2-3 levels....this is the maximum late i can admit myself because is good for the players that have thhings to do and are late at the computer. But seing late registrations with hours...have big disapoints... the only good thing is that the prizepool grow...i admit late registrations on rebuy tournaments, because there you can choose to enter in the last minutes and after making some rebuys...

I see some valid reasons why some may dislike this policy I however like it very much for these reasons.

1. When the tourney starts you know exactly how many people are in it NO SURPRISES!

2. It keeps the field smaller increasing my odds for winning.

3. It keeps me from making a dumb late late registration myself.

Those are just off the top of my head my only gripe is when you are one minute late but I can deal.

Registration usually starts 1 or 2 hours before the tournament starts.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here for a second and argue the point that there is a skill to playing a short stack well and to take advantage of mistakes that players with a larger stack will and do make.

Yes, it makes for higher variance poker but if you are employing sound fundamental shove/fold strategy and lots of players employ that with success, then what's wrong with that?

That's still poker, but just a different variant of it.

Just because there is skill in playing a SS and bc you can exploit people who don't adjust their ranges, DOES NOT MEAN it is plus EV in total to enter tournaments really late....

The two things are mutually exclusive.

In cash games this is entirely different and I buy in for 50BB presently and believe there to be a small advantage for doing so, plus it just limits my variance which has been an issue before....lol.

late reg is so stupid. I'm not saying i wouldn't be ok with a little time for late reg like 30min or something but almost 2.5 hours like on bovada is just terrible.

I agree with you 100% CheddarBob. What makes a game inviting is to see maybe a few hundred registered. Meaning the game is not going to go on for hours. Then checking your standing at the first break you see more than a thousand still in it.
I do like Full Flush's no late registrations.

I have no gripe with this system

Actually, I favor no late over late. I was looking for others' opinions on it.

I don't mind a little bit of late registration, but when its more than a half hour or hour, it gets to be a little bit excessive. Most places just use late registration to kill the overlay on their guaranteed tournaments.

I think late reg is good for 10 - 15 mins, but after that it can heavily weigh on your advantage or dis-advantage. Either way.

Good luck all...........:D:D:D
