I heard that Full Tilt recently made an update to give players an option to run it twice. But I can't find that option in ring games. It would be nice to have. For instance, if flop comes out 6c9cAd and I have set of Aces while my opponent has 7c 8c. It'll be nice to run it twice. It reduces variance. Anyone got thoughts and opinions on this?

I think its cool. Just gives you more options, and dope one at that. I dont really see the downside of it because if you dont like running it twice you can just decline the option. Well played fulltilt.

Anyone got thoughts and opinions on this?

It sounds interesting enough, but I would need more details to really have an opinion. For instance, is it just after the flop? Or at any point in the game? Can any player call for a redraw? How many redraws in a single game are allowed?

I don't think it will decrease variance. For instance, let's say before the river you are a 94% to 6% favorite. Sure, if that 6% happens, you can call for a redraw. But I assume that during the 94% of the time you would have won, your opponent can do the same to you. So in that case, no matter what the first draw is, a redraw will be called for by someone. And thus the "second" draw is the only draw that matters. In that sense, there's only one real draw.

Maybe I have it wrong, but it doesn't seem too different to me. But it definitely caught my attention as interesting! :)

Thanks for sharing!

I have heard about this. I have not personally tried it out yet though. With all my good luck, I would probably loose twice as much!!!

Can you really lose twice? Man what a gamble. Not sure if I would run it twice if my hand was the underdog, but then again I wouldn't have chips in if I were the underdog.

Sounds like an interesting twist to the game. Just what I need my pocket aces busted twice.

I think that is cool, it would be nice if you could put the straddle on in cash games on that site, MOst people in cash games don't really want to do that or don't know what that is? sure brings alot more interesting action to the games.

I have only seen my cards run twice once. I am still waiting for it to happen again, but the other players probably have to have it chosen too. Plus, FTP should maybe put the option on the table screen, but they are probably doing tests on how much people like the option in the first place.

I like it, but i don't want it to be default on every hand...bc if I was ahead and then ended up chopping i'd be pissed. Plus, I heard it takes double the rake, so I don't know about that either.

I have had it run twice a few more times and ended up chopping when I was way ahead the first time. NOT a great feature in that situation.

Yeah in some of the casino's i played in, at the final tables we normally ran it twice specailly if it was AA vs KK and K hit the flop.

Interesting that there put it in to fulltilt.

Cashout sounds all a little to wierd for me...

Running...

I may be wrong ...but aren't you giving your opponent a secound bite at the apple when you agree to run them twice...looking at a set I would decline every time! When is the decision made to play it that way...after flop ...before hand starts...I've seen it done on HIGH STAKES on TV..I thought it was just to make the game more interesting for viewers!:)

I might be wrong, but I'm certain this feature is only standard for Cash games, not tournaments.... I've had this at a couple cash games before and you see it all the time on HSP. It's good I guess if say your playing for a big pot and all in, you still have a chance ot take half of the pot or the entire thing... Or none of it..

I'm 100% sure it was tournaments because I only a played a few cash games in the casino's. Plus it was only at the final table as well. Can not remember if it was half the pot tho. I'll ask my mate he played there more then I ever did.

How does this work... do you have to pay extra for a redraw?... there's got to be a catch... it cant just be a do over situation without any consequences (i.e. fee?)?

Now i may also be wrong but doesn't the redraw option only apply if both players agree preflop that they should run it twice.

If so then why would the player with AA run it twice when hes 80% favorite??

And if you decided on the flop then why would someone who just hit a set of kings (and roughly 90% favoruite if the flop is k rag rag) want to give the player who needs to catch an Ace 2 shots??

Between running it twice, the new cash out tourneys and the make a deal who needs to play poker to win? Just play to get close, and coin flips aren't even a consideration! All they need now is emotes and rabbit and they will officially be Carbon with Avatars.
