full tilt poker’s Ring Game Tickets are an alternative way to buy-in to your favorite ring games.
Full Tilt Poker offers a full range of Ring Game Tickets for all levels of players and they can be bought from the Full Tilt Store and Iron Man Store.
Ring Game Tickets have a number of properties that determine how you release its cash value to your real-money balance:
Current Value

A ticket’s Current Value is its latest cash value.
For example, a $100 Ring Game Ticket starts with a Current Value of $100. You buy-in to a ring game for $25, which you increase to $50. When you stand up, your Ring Game Ticket is now worth $125 (the unused $75, plus the $50 you stood up with). The ticket’s Current Value is now $125.
FTP Release Value

A ticket’s FTP Release Value is the target number of Full Tilt Points you must earn to unlock the cash value of a ticket. Only Full Tilt Points you earn at ring game tables where you buy-in with your ticket count towards the FTP Release Value.
Note: Bonus Full Tilt Points do not count towards the FTP Release Value.
The final cash value of the ticket will be released to your real-money account at the conclusion of the hand where you reach the FTP Release Value. Your ticket will also be expired and removed from your balance.
Max Value

A ticket’s Max Value is the maximum value that a ticket can be worth when not in play.
If a ticket’s Current Value is greater than its Max Value when you stand up from a table, the Current Value will be reset equal to the Max Value and the excess cash value credited to your real-money account.
For example, your Ring Game Ticket has a Max Value of $500. You begin a session with your ticket worth $400 and you increase it to $600. When you stand up from your seat, the ticket’s Current Value is reset to $500 (equal to the Max Value) and $100 is credited to your real-money account.
Minimum Threshold

A ticket’s Minimum Threshold is the minimum value that a ticket can be worth when not in play.
If a ticket’s Current Value is less than its Minimum Threshold when you stand up from a table, the Current Value will be credited to your real-money account and the ticket expired.
For example, if your Ring Game Ticket has a Minimum Threshold of $2 and you stand up from a table with its Current Value at $1, we will credit your real-money account with $1 and expire the ticket.
Note that every Ring Game Ticket has an expiry date. Please check it carefully to ensure you get full use from your ticket.
You can check the current balance of your Tickets, and any of their properties, by visiting the Cashier in the game software and selecting View Tickets.

seems like a good idea for those prefer ring games to tournaments. i am gonna sit on my ftp points for awhile...not worth the damage they cause to my rakeback by using them.

Just checked it out. The ring game tickets are pretty pricey. It costs 3175 Full Tilt Points for a $10 ticket. A bit much but if you have next to nothing in your account and enough points it may only be worth it if you don't want to deposit. For me, think I'll hold on to my points...

$10 Ticket for 3175 points, get a T-Shirt Instead.

IDK, nice if you are a cash game player. Seems price is right on par with equivalent amount in bonus money in IM store. Good deal for those of you who hate to play tourneys and SNG's.

I will be using these to buy my way into 10NL 6max for Take 2 promo. Although the way I play cash games, I may be better off just getting a t-shirt.

Unless you only play Ring games, I don't see much value in these tickets.

Buying with IronMan medals: No advantage over Cash Bonuses
$100 Ring Game Ticket costs 610 medals. Earn 2500 FTP to release full value.
$100 Cash Bonus costs 600 medals. Earn 2500 FTP to release full value.
Cash Bonuses are released in $10 increments.

Buying with FTPs: Only makes sense if you never use FTP to buy Tournament Tickets.
7850 FTP gets you a $25 Ring Game Ticket.
The same 7850 buys about $38 worth of Tourney Tickets (MiniFTOPS, Steps, BLT, Daily Dollar Tickets)

I have no understanding of how RakeBack effects the values above.
Maybe someone else can add that study.

^^^^ True. Unless the rakeback effect is different. If I have it right you would actually be earning RB with tickets and bonus only takes from it. They are prolly something a strictly cash game player has been looking for though.
It would be much better they just gave you cash.

The truth is I am not too good at cash games, but had small BR and wanted to play take 2 promo. Bought 2 tickets($10 each) for 150 medals played some 6max and got my daily points. Was only gonna make 5 points for the day then quit. It was then I realized there was no way to clear it in time at this pace(tickets expire in 7 days and need 250 points per ticket to clear). I decided to play rush and did.

Everytime I got over 120BBs deep I would leave table then sit back down. I only did this because I am not a good "real" deepstack player.
The point I'm trying to get at is whatever extra cash over $10 goes back in account and stays there when you leave table. Ended up over 3.5 BI's and still have both tickets. Even if I lose them both I am still way ahead.

Thanks Detroit Jimmy. My question was going to be what happened to winnings in a session with tickets. From your experience it goes to your account balance.

the ticket only expires if you dont use it for 7 days

Ticket don't expire in seven days!
They only expire if don't USE them for seven days.

Ring Game Tickets

How do these Ring Game Tickets get sent to you?
I would have thought they would just appear in your account - under Tickets in the Cashier, but when I went to purchase one, it said it would take 6-8 weeks to arrive in the post. Hence, I haven't bought it yet.
I'm hoping that's just a generic line. Any one know for sure?

It's almost instant. The reason they said so long was if you are getting physical items sent to you. Should still be the case although I don't know for sure now not being able to play there and all.

Never knew they had that either at FTP. Guess it's mute now, well unless keeps up with play chips.

when i got mine it was almost instant ...if you multitable you might as well get multiple tickets versus saving a few ftps on 1 larger one

I just won a $25 ring game ticket,
so I'll probably be playing with that for a couple of weeks.

I did try a $25 ticket.

The thing I disliked most was that you are limited to the tables you can buy into.
Tickets can't be used in combination with your cash balance for buy-ins or top-ups.
Between sessions, the tickets can never be worth more than its original face value.

Essentially you must play these as if the ticket's current value was your entire bankroll.

Bankroll Management suggests never buying-in for more than 5% of your bank.
If you follow this guideline, proper BRM limits a ticket with $25 face value to a $1.25 maximum buy in.
So even a ticket with $25 value, is pretty much stuck to the Micros.

Overall I did well with this $25 ticket but I don't think I'd buy another.

Not wanting to be short-stacked, I like to buy-in for no less than 50BB
Here's how it went...

First session:
$25 buy in for 50BB at $0.25/$0.50 NLHE. Left session with about $10 profit.
Profit goes to cash account and ticket resets to it $25 maximum face value.

Second session, same thing:
$25 buy in for 50BB at $0.25/$0.50 NLHE. Left session with about $10 profit.
Profit goes to cash account and ticket resets to it $25 maximum face value.

So I'm up around $20. Great right?

Third session:
$25 buy in for 50BB at $0.25/$0.50 NLHE. Left session down about $15.
Without being able to top up from my cash account, I left the table with just 20BB and my tail between my legs.

Tickets new face value is about $10, so...
I can't buy in to a $0.25/$0.50 table and only have 40BB for a $0.10/$0.25 table.

Fourth session:
$10 buy in for 40BB at $0.10/$0.25 NLHE. Left session down another $3.
Tickets new face value is about $7.

Overall, I've put $20 into my cash bankroll and have $7 remaining on the ticket, so I'm still up.
But now I can only buy in at a $0.05/$0.10 table!

This is where I was almost ready to give up on this stupid ticket.
I have cash in my bank and would MUCH rather have $100 down on 3-4 tables of Rush Poker at $0.25/$0.50.
But instead, I have to try to rebuild this now $7 ticket at a $0.05/$0.10 table.

In the end, through sheer stubborn pride, I got it back up to $22 before Black Friday.

How can i play in freeroll tonight at full tilt? I have to be member of cardschat only ?
