Does anybody know when exactly "happy hour" is run at full tilt.

seems like every time i get on its not happy hour and id like to take advantage of the deal they offer.

Is it really even a good deal to get double points?

You can go to the Full Tilt promotions and find out. It depends on why you want your points as to whether or not it is beneficial. If you will use them for tournament entries or to buy things for the store then take advantage of it.

If you are trying to earn points for any kind of promotion avoid them. They will not count if earned during happy hour.

tbh, i try to avoid happy hours if possible. Extra points are essentially worthless, while i find the tables get significantly worse in terms of short-stacking scumbags and rakeback pros.

Well even with what I said above I have to agree Belgo - and I personally never play during happy hour.

I know that happy hour runs everyday at 3:00 PM(EST) and that is when I usually play. I am unsure about the other happy hour times though.

I'm pretty sure southsidecan is right. It looks to me as if my happy hour points count towards the ironman promotion. Other than that....well, I wouldn't say that happy hour really hurts. If you're a solid player you just gotta watch out for all of the crazy all-in happy hour shortstackers.

But yeah it seems like to get enough points to buy anything good will take forever. I played all 2 hours of happy hour last night, 8 tables at a time, .25/.50 and I got about 400 points. If I do that 10 days in a row I can buy a ....tshirt. Yay....

no. happy hour bonus points don't help with the ironman.

Patience helps. Planning to spend 120000 points on the Nikon camera in the EU electronics section a couple of months from now.

EDIT: link to camera in store: http://store.fulltiltpoker.com/en/item/OI-ISLR

This is kind of a side question that has nothing to do with the topic, but... Why is there an electronics section and an EU electronics section? Is EU like European Union or something? Thats my best guess...

yes, although i assume they also ship to switzerland from the EU store.

The other electronics section only ships to US and canada iirc.

If you have rake-back and spend your points on tourney entries, you get deducted some of your rake cash. I've only just found this out!
The happy hours are really only beneficial if your spending in the store, and everything there costs a fortune! lol. 4,000,000 for a mini? hmmmm.
Saying that, you can buy 100k points with iron man medals, so it may be worth grinding to qualify after all! And remember, you can earn 15 medals for just earning 1 point a day and not playing the 1-a-day freeroll.

Pts. on FT don't seem to be of too much value imo. I've picked up some clothing with them. Obviously I'm never qualifying for Ironman.

Well, I was bored one day and figured this out.
-1 comp point on FTP is worth .5 cents
-1 comp point on Stars is worth 1.5 cents
So during happy hour (double FTPs on specified games) they are still worth less than stars and their ftp store is more expensive because they offer rakeback.
-Basically, bit of a scam to increase play but good chance to build up FTPs

Happy hour points do count towards your iron man status. Unless it has been changed in the past few weeks, because I read it on their site. Give us five mins and I'll try and find it.

By the way, to anyone who has rakeback with Full Tilt, be wary of spending your Full Tilt points, as it affects your rake back seriously.

From the site. Not that clear actually, I might mail them about it. However I notice my Iron man points rocket during Happy Hour.

"Your bonus points will automatically appear in your account so all you have to worry about is how to spend them. Use your bonus points to get some great gear from the Full Tilt Store, including plasma TVs, laptops, iPods, golf clubs, or your very own personalized full tilt poker jersey. During select Happy Hours, the extra points you earn will even count toward other bonuses on our site."

happy hour points only count as 1x towards your ironman and 2x towards your ft point total

Worth it?

Usually 5 or 6 am and sometime in the evening.....I think around eleven. Unless you will be playing for awhile, probably not worth it.
