I just go an email for my claim for my American poker account. I am ineligible because, even though I have close to $200.00 in my account, I built it up from freerolls and then to cash games. I never made a deposit. It will be required. If you have not been given a claim number, you must know the exact amount in your account if you are making a claim and the amount has to be on your claim, they will not tell you the amount remaining. So they are off the hook paying players who never deposited or cannot remember their amounts. Kind of a kick in the teeth.

You can easily find out what your balance was at FT. I can't remember exactly how but it is posted somewhere on the forum.

Yeah it's unclear what "you must be a depositing player" really means. If you got the email, there seems to be a pretty good chance that you will be able to file a claim.

When you create your petition after tomorrow and enter your numbers, they will show you your balance. If you don't dispute the balance shown, you don't need to supply anything. If you dispute the balance, or didn't get an email with the claim numbers, then you can still fill out the form but must provide your balance and document it. This can be retrieved after installing the FTP client and requesting your account history, which will be emailed to you.

Wow, if this is true, this is just 'wrong' for so many reasons.
Especially when you consider players who built 3-4 figure rolls from freerolls, paid rake for every game they played...yet now are being treated like freeloaders.

Put in for my refund from Full Tilt at the start of this week. We'll see how long it takes to show up in the bank. Not holding my breath...

I submitted the form a while back.

What was the date the payouts were supposed to start rolling in?

IIRC it was sometime in November.

There was never a date for when payments would be made. They said they would start reviewing applications after the November deadline.

I am going to submit an application despite the fact that I never deposited. Worth a try.

LOL, so standard. 2 years after they get the money they will START to begin the process to actually pay the people who the money belongs to.

I suppose the reviews will have to go to a secondary review period in the spring, and then a final review by fall of 2014 so they can milk the pokerstars trust fund down as much as possible before paying anyone.

The bureaucracy of anyone involved directly or indirectly with the government is unreal. It's like they conspire to be as unefficient and incompetent as humanly possible.

The OP said $200, not $200K.

Not that it will help you but as a UK player, when FT started up again I found my balance intact.

Have to say this surprised me. It was only £10.47 but it was better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. :)

Now I will cross my fingers for the money since most of the small money I left on there was from affiliate payments.

Payments from affiliates, or payments for being an affiliate?

If the latter, you are 99% SOL from what I have read.

It's my understanding that even if you built a bank roll to $100,000 starting with freerolls and never making a deposit, no site would pay you - until you have made a deposit. So I guess this doesn't shock me that this is the case here.

Yeah, affiliates will be able to cashout only the poker money in their account (deposits or winnings), but not any affiliate payments from FT.

Not true, at least not at all sites. I don't recall about FT but I doubt it. Many had play through requirements for non-depositors. After you raked so much with your winnings from playing real money games, then you could withdraw. I'd be highly surprised if the DOJ/GCG attempts to enforce this.

Interesting to see how mine goes, mine were not FTP payments, but other companies paying me via P2P transfer for affiliate balances due.

Eh, little less than $100 bucks, I gave it a shot, took me a couple minutes to complete the form and go back and prove the balance.

Not true at all. I have withdrawn from ACR, Carbon, Bovada and never made a deposit. Also, at the time, I withdrew a ton of money from Prima/Microgaming Network without making a single deposit (and they gave me free money besides) *note, you must now deposit to get money from Microgaming
