Full Tilt Poker Jackpot Sit & Go Tournaments

Full Tilt launched their new Jackpot Sit & Go Tournaments on June 24, 2014. It's a new format that puts a player against two other opponents, with the chance to win anywhere from 2x to 2,000x the buy-in amount in prize money! Once the jackpot has been randomly selected (after players are seated), game play begins with a Super Turbo structure.

Buy-in levels for these games are $1, $2, $5, and $10, giving players the possibility to play for a $20,000 prize pool with just a $10 investment!

I was going to post about this (but you did much better JQ)

Im still undecided, have played almost 20
500 starting chips is more than in hyperturbos
most of the prizes seem to be the min ($1 buyin $2 prize 3ppl)
Ive had a few with 1 extra bi added ($1 buyin $4 prize 3ppl)

lot of variance and bad beats (to be expected in this format)
which Im used to- so will be grinding some more
I am sitting around even so far

would be great to hit a nice jackpot payout
I gotta keep trying

I played maybe 10 of the $1 ones (3 people put in $1 each, total $3) and in all of them the winners got only $2. So far not worth it.

Yeah, there is definitely a much bigger chance of just getting the low end of the multipliers:

FT always have the best new games. I played around 10 of those sit gos, but the maximum multiplier that I got was 4.

all $2 prizes except 2 $4, 2 $6 and the biggest I seen yet 1 $20 (lost 66<JJ)

Anyhow, I think these games can be pretty profitable. After doing the math, the 1$ games are actually .95+.05$, which isn't too bad considering you start with 25bb, compared to 10-15bb in most hyper turbo games

Most importantly, however, due to the *small* chance of cashing in a huge payout, I find that these games will appeal a lot more to casual players, meaning that the games will be fishier than your regular 1$ buy-ins. Combined with a slightly deeper stack than usual hyper turbos, there might be a bigger edge.

Are they like the ones on ipoker?

Maybe it had the similar format like twister SNGs on ipoker.

I played bunch of these mostly with 10$ BI and the biggest multiplier I have hit so far was the 6x BI (once). Most of the time it's 2x or 4x BI of course so it's really not easy to be profitable on these games eventhough the competition is quite poor. But I'll probably keep on trying to hit a big one, kinda like the format... it is fun.

Its always good to try something new & there are tickets up for grabs aswell.

Tried the 4 tables at once & cashed the 3 outta 4 ...

Total profit $2 ... So yeah, it is possible I suppose.

It's been a long time since I was able to play on iPoker, but if I remember correctly, you had to win a certain number of their Jackpot SNGs to get the jackpot. These, you just play, and the site randomly increases the prizepool for each game. So no, not the same.

I have been playing these SnG's today and have for the most part played the 2x multiplier. The great part about that is that if you get the 2x multiplier 7 times in a row, you get a free promotion ticket. I got the 4x multiplier a couple of times and a 20x once. But when it came to the 20x multiplier, i started questioning the ability to discuss a deal.

Is it your right as a player to be able to discuss a deal? Are you cheating the system? Because anytime you get more the 2x multiplier, the pot is bigger than whatever the table paid to buy-in. Is it than cheating, being social or generous...

How do you guys see it?

I think that would be a great question to ask their support staff. If you do, let us know what you think! I personally don't see anything wrong with it, if all parties are willing.

I see no problem, they are paying out the same anyways, they dont care!(moneys been made from the 2x games)
its just not +EV if you think you can win

also the top jackpots seem to pay all 3 spots too

funniest thing yesterday,
saw a deal being split on a $2 pot, they quit to break even lol

Well, I also don't see a problem but the question still lingered around my mind so I wanted your opinions on the matter.
I still did ask support and here follows their official reply:

Players are free to request a deal at any tournament, the deal is offered, if they wish so.

Your calculation is correct, but we can't still promise that the other two player will agree with deal, rather then take their chances for the main prize, which is with only three players high enough.

If the players at the table all select the "Make a Deal" checkbox, the tournament is paused once the current hand is complete. A deal negotiation screen opens where the players decide how they will split the tournament prize money.

If the deal is offered at any table, Full Tilt Poker agrees with deal offer. The prize pool is simply created by players, and it won't change if its paid to the last man standing or divided between two or three players.

Ok, I change mind about these I just played a $10 one (I won a ticket through the daily freerolls) and prize pool was $100.

1st hand my other 2 opponents shoved, one of them ko'd the other and we made a deal $40/$60.

Although now that I look at some of the recent jackpot winners ($300 to $7000), I'm a little disappointed

yea.. if you are lucky to catch a jackpot...it s a nice game..but many people say that it s rigged..

have played a few of these myself lately, no big catches on them....think the biggest was a 20$ one and i was 1st out with a big A vs small pp if I recall correctly. Am up on them overall i believe.

I did watch a 5k one being played in the 10$ games though which was interesting, 1st hand AA vs 88 and AA held and then the other two split the remaining 4500ish at like 2k and 2.5k so a nice pull for a 10$ buyin even for the 1st guy out to get 50x the buyin.

I think they are interesting and sorta like a poker lottery so its ok on all levels because even hitting only 2$ games and an odd 4$ or 6$ game can show a profit but can be swingy like HT games.

FullTilt Jackpot SnGs

I've been playing in for hours straight and profit SO LITTLE, i mean, there are a lot of weak players and you usually win most of the games, but theres a lot of variance and the prize is almost always just the double your buy in.

But this thing is SO ADDICTING... i can't seem to stop playing this in hope of that beautiful 1000x buy in prize.

What do you guys think about it? I love it, but hate it at the same time, it's very frustrating.

it can be addicting but will screw up your reg stt game because of the different style

i like hyper, maybe thats why i do alright in these...
wouldnt recommend it to those who like normal slow games with big stacks.

And these are good to get point too... few hours 100points
