Hey, a few weeks ago i decided to withdraw my money from fulltilt poker after only playing for about a week. After my request i got an email from FTP saying my account had been suspended and i would have to provide security details in order to fulfill my request.

I thought this was pretty good of Full Tilt to make efforts to protect my money, but after 3 weeks of struggling with the hopeless Full Tilt support i have changed my mind.

I submitted all of the requested documentation and all were approved apart from my bank statement. They said the statement had to have the card number on it, so i went to my bank and have been told they do not put the card number on for "security reasons" and only provide the account number and sort code.

Even though the account number and sort code are unique to me, FTP will still not accept it.

Any Advice? Thank you in advance.

If your bank statement shows the withdrawel, and you scanned the card which I am sure they can verify it was the card used for deposit, there should be no problem.
Also I do not think anyone's statement show their card number.
There must be a way around that, if this is coming from the cashier, I would email security and explain the situation and see if maybe there is any other verification you can send.

I don't think that any bank will add the card number to the bank statement.
Your card, and therefore your card number, security numbers etc etc., is "locked" to your account, and perhaps the bank registration number.

The only way that they should not accept it is if you got more than 1 account in your bank, and you have accidentally used a card for oneof your other accounts.

Besides that, have you tried the withdraw method to a credit card?
I have withdrawn a couple of times, and I've never had any issues with that. They haven't even requested for any documentation for it.

Maybe that is an option for you.
Otherwise, ask you bank to print out a note that says that they do not provide the card number on the statement, as it will be very un-security like :)

Regards!

well the cashier put me onto IDrequests@fulltiltpoker.com. what do you mean email security?
There is several e-mail to ftp. There's the support, cashier, abuse, collusion etc etc.
You can find them on their website, there should be a security mail as well. You can then ask them how you can verify that it is a withdraw to your account in another way then their asking you to do at the moment. :)

Regards!

The big problem is that you had only been playing a week. That would send up flags.

If your bank statement shows the withdrawal, that should have sufficed. Of course, if you are in the US, the withdrawal was not to Full Tilt. But the timing should have been OK.

Here's the problem. There have been a fair number of reports of bank withdrawals not going through for some time. That is, the bank statements do post the withdrawal for ages, sometimes as much as a month or two. Seems to be a glitch in the FT bypass system, whatever it is. So untill FT is sure that they have the money, you are not getting it back.

Once they are sure they received your funds, you can get it back. Full Tilt is honest this way.

Ok i am going to lay out the exact full story for you guys to see what you think using the english language to the best of my ability... bare with me i only got a B haha.

I deposit $250 in mid December 2010 to FTP via debit card to try and make a little extra money, i play for a few days and make it up to $334 and decide to withdraw.

A short time after the request i recieve this email:

Hello

For security reasons, we need to verify your identity and ownership of the visa xxxxxxxxx, recently used on Full Tilt Poker.

Please send clear scanned copies of the following items to

IDrequests@fulltiltpoker.com

* Photo ID: A digital photograph of you holding your ID document, so that we can compare you to your ID document.
One of the following forms of ID are acceptable: valid driver's license, passport, or other government-issued ID that clearly shows your birth date and the date of issue or expiry.

- Proof of Address (less than 60 days old):
One of the following: bank or credit card statement, utility bill, cell phone bill, home or auto insurance papers.

- The front of the credit card listed above.
-The back of the card, please cover up the CVV number before sending.

Credit card statement(s) showing the transaction(s) to Full Tilt Poker with the deposit method above. If you bank online and do not receive paper statements, please send a screenshot of your online statement(s).

Before sending copies of your documents, please ensure the following requirements are met:

* Copies must be clear and legible (96 to 150 DPI or higher recommended for scanned copies).
* The document needs to be a full page and complete (bill/pay stubs, folded papers, envelopes, and partial sections are unacceptable).

Once we process your documentation we will contact you with an update on the status of your account.

Thank you for your cooperation.

After a number of emails back and forth discussing certain things (which i may add was done very efficiently), all my documentation was verified except for my bank statement, here is the email:

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept your bank statement because it does not include the last 4 digits of the credit card used on Full Tilt Poker (xxxx), so we recommend asking the bank for a more detailed bank statement.

We appreciate your cooperation, and look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions, please let us know.

I then went to my bank, asked them for a more detailed statement and they told me that they could not send 16 digit card numbers on bank statements because of secuirty reasons, but the account number and sort code is unique to me and can be used as proof. (the bank statement and card have the acc number and sort code on). So i asked for an official letter from the bank to explain the situation.

I sent the letter to them and explained the situation on the 29th of Dec 2010... and thats where it all went sour. I did not recieve any message from them at all, then i emailed them again and asked them what was going on, and they replied very quickly saying:

Hello

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

We apologize for the delay you've experienced in receiving a response from us. We are currently experiencing a higher volume of emails than usual and are responding to each one as quickly as possible.

While we understand that waiting for an answer can be frustrating, sending extra messages about the same issue can actually cause further delays. Please help us serve you faster by sending only one email about a single subject.

Thank you for your patience, and please let us know if you have any questions. We're always here to help.

Regards,

Deidre

That was over a week and a half ago.... if they are so busy how could Deidre respond so quickly to my message!!!!!!!!

Well thats it, im going crazy and am considering seeking legal advice... this shit cant be allowed right?

fortunate kid or should i say not so fortunate a bit like myself. couple of weeks ago i deposited just $20 and turned it into $200 so i withdrew $140 and now it sounds like i am going to have the same troubles as you. At the moment i cant log into the site as I've been suspended, also sent them a couple of emails but have not had any response. Played most poker sites and never had to deal with such rubbish. Fortunate kid i would be grateful if you could inform me on how you got on in getting you winnings, cheers.

Sometimes the poker rooms just seem to prevent people to withdraw money with this shit, in the terms of most poker sites they say they can close your account and keep all the money without giving you any kind of explanation.
