Depends

I believe the more rake you spend the more FTP you get. Everyone 10$ is 7 FTP i believe, or every 1$ is 7 FTP, i can not truly remember. It has to deal with the amount of rake you give the site. This determines the amount of FTP you will receive.

Full Tilt Points

Full Tilt Points are our way of giving back to any player who participates in a real-money game on full tilt poker - the more you play, the more points you earn. Use your points to get gear from the Full Tilt Poker Store or enter exclusive Full Tilt Points tournaments.
Earning Points

Start earning Full Tilt Points by playing in any qualifying raked real-money hand in a ring game or a real-money Multi-Table Tournament or Sit & Go with a tournament fee:
  • Ring Games: For each dollar raked from a pot, every player who was dealt cards for that hand will receive 1 Full Tilt Point. For example, if $2.00 in rake is taken from a pot, each player who was dealt cards will receive 2 points. Fractional points are also awarded; if $2.25 in rake is taken, players will receive 2.25 points. A maximum of 3 points can be earned per hand.
  • Tournaments: For every dollar paid in Multi-Table Tournament or Sit & Go fees, you'll receive 7 Full Tilt Points. There is no limit to the number of points you can earn per tournament. For example, if you play in a tournament with a $10 buy-in and a $1 tournament fee, you'll receive 7 points; if you play in a tournament with a $200 buy-in and a $16 tournament fee, you'll receive 112 points.
Double and Triple Points
Earn double or even triple Full Tilt Points just by playing in your favorite ring games and tournaments during our daily Happy Hour periods. Look for specially designated tables with the "smiley face" next to them in the game lobby to start earning points faster. Your bonus points will automatically appear in your account, so all you have to worry about is how to spend them.

you really want to spend $5k on your own avatar? Because that's what a million FTPs is worth. $3.65k if you have rakeback as using FTPs is deducted from your MGR

i dont think its that much. they come off your mgr at .005 per point spent. so 1m x .005 is 5k. but thats 5k off your mgr. and 27% of that is only $1,350 which is still alot to spend on the avatar.

If you're just playing at the micro stakes like most people here, a million FTPs are a veeeery long way out. You might be playing longer than the site is going to be around. :D

Start with a smaller goal and maybe consider using the FTPs to play in satellites to take shots at building a bankroll. If you get a million FTPs, they'll probably sign you as a red pro anyway, and you'll get a custom one for free!

One way to slowly build you FTP Points roll is to play the Sat to the Daily Dollar. They have these 9 player SnGs. It costs 50 points to enter. Third gets you your points back. First and second get entry to the DD. You can Unregister for the tournament and 200 points and added to your account.

Like cash, I can break even, but the tournaments last less than an hour and getting down to four or five is pretty easy. With focus, you could easily build up points this way. 1M, maybe not, but still its a thought!

The higher stakes you play the more points you get. Take advantage of the happy hours and etc. Full Tilt has a pretty easy system to earn tons of points.

Good luck to all in their grinds.
