Hey, so ever since my account got hacked, full tilt no longer works for me. Even when I tried to make a new account (my previous one was shut down at my request) it won't log me in. I've tried to contact support and gotten no response. Anyone know why this might be?

I don't quite understand. I hope you're not trying to log into a hacked account. You need a new one. And it could be their software is not allowing you to set up a new one because it recognizes your computer and doesn't allow duel accounts. If if your old one was shut down, their software might still recognize and be preventing duplicate accounts.

So you'll simply have to talk to support and have them manually set up a new account for you. I had to do this at bodog, and getting support help is the only way. Good luck.

Isn't this also a multiple account at CC? I recognize your CC ID as being the screen name used in several Cardschat LPS challenges ...

Try uninstalling FT then reinstalling it before logging in to your new one.

hacked

Just curious what do you mean by hacked? Did you lose all of your money or was someone else playing using your name and password? Just curious. Was there anything you could have done to prevent this hacking?

My last account was hacked into, so dakota told me to create a new one.

I explained it all in an introduction thread that can be found here:
https://www.cardschat.com/forum/intros-foreign-languages-8/new-silverslugger33-141331/

To answer the other comments, I have already tried uninstalling and then reinstalling. My account was hacked because someone on this site sent me a fake link that gave them my password for CC, which was the same as the password for my account on full tilt, and so they changed the email address and password for both. I'm presuming that on FT, they have since withdrawn or transferred all of the money.

Unfortunately, FT's support has been absolutely useless, incredibly unresponsive, and generally horrible.

Sorry to hear of the troubles. I don't follow all the 'introductions' threads as there so many of them. Missed it. Yes, FT can be slow in responding, hope you get it all ironed out and they can track the thief.

I've essentially given up hope on catching the thief. At this point I just want to be able to use the site again... They stole some money from my Ultimate Bet account as well, and I'm already able to use that site again, despite contacting them after I contacted full tilt.

Will look forward to seeing you back on the flat screen felts again. You're always a welcome addition to the games and the LPS Challenges.

Thanks man, I appreciate the good word. One guess of mine is that my IP address is blocked for one reason or another, which actually isn't a huge deal. The reason for this is that I was planning on getting a new laptop within the next couple of weeks anyway, which would obviously have a different IP address, so at the very worst, I'll be off of FT for the next few weeks, and in that time, I can spend my time at PS, UB, and...possibly doing something other than poker?

In my case, I got a ZLOB Trojan which apparently installed a keylogger, allowing a hacker in LA to read my Bodog password. He logged in and joy-rided, blowing my entire $900 account within ten minutes. Bodog was syampathetic but not hellpful.

Isn't it easier to create new account on friend's name?
And of course you should get better protection system

Not a good idea. If you plan on being a good enough player to make withdrawals, you'll probably have to go through steps to verify your identity. If you're using a friend's name, that will be problematic.

As for internet security, I thought I was safe because I had Norton. Norton is trash. I found the virus using an online scan from Trend Micro Housecall. Now I run AVAST in the background, do frequent Housecll scans, and run Spybot Search and Destroy and Lavasoft Ad-Aware. And most important, don't click on suspipcious links and e-mails. I think I got my virus when I clicked on a page that said I needed to download a new "Codex" to watch a video. Moral of the story: don't do stuff like that.

Avast is one of the best programs out there and it is absolutely free! Even my mom set it up on her own. And I've used if for the last six or seven years and I've never had anything get through it. It's great.

hmm

All you needed to do was change your password if some stranger got into your account. But you could get a new ip address may help,if not you may need to change the name on your puter, which you can do if you formatted yr puter, its like installing a new windows system.I made recovery disks with my puter, and its like it was brand new, giving me the option to change mt puter name as i go throuh the install process, and you can google how to change yr ipaddy,or try unplugging yr puter for 24hrs may help.
Dont be clicking them sex links!!!!
