Full tilt will be running their Mini FTops Tourneys again In December. These are great tourneys that are a 1/10 of the cost of their regular big Ftops tourneys and gives us little guys a chance to play in some Cash large tourneys at a fraction of the price.

Satelites are already running for these tourneys.

What some players might not know is that full tilt has a MINI F tops Promotions That if you are going to play in any of these make sure you enter the Promotion.

Go to full tilt...Cashier... promotions... click and make sure you sign up for these. There are also other challenges involved last longer and big hands etc.

Side note.. these satelites regulary give away 4 -12 seats per tourney and these will increase closer to the actual main events. These satellites are easy to win and you can always deregesiter for tourney dollars.

You can see by pic below I have already qualified for freerolls

Congrats on the numerous satellite finishes the lab man!

I've satellited into the MiniFTOPS Warmup & Event #11; still working on a Sat to Event #1...making the Final Table just not finishing 1st (yet), closest = 2nd but seat is only for 1st in the 36-peep SNGs.

Sad thing is...

I saw a lot of those same deals (freeroll's for doing la de dah for the FTOPS) and saw some poor chap in 2 10k freerolls all by himself and the required minimum was 2 people... HOW HORRID CAN THAT BE BEING THE ONLY ONE and having the tourney voided...

I'm sure this won't happen thought in mini FTOP's... since it's all cheap...

Anyway... just felt bad for that chap who got voided out of 2 $10k FR's

Moe.

miniFTOPS XIV

Full Tilt is running their quarterly poker series again, kicking off on Dec. 6th with the $1 Turbo Warm Up, and concluding on the 20th with the $50 ME. The only thing I'm unhappy about is I have finals during these two weeks... But hopefully I can balance the two, finishing the semester well and making a profit too :D

My plan is to play miniFTOPS 1, 8, and 10... All NLHE events, I was hoping to do some PLO but I just won't be able to fit it in. 1 and 8 are 6-MAX, I usually play FR, so in the next few weeks I'm gonna have to sharpen up on my short-handed game.

So what are other people planning on playing in this series? What do we expect the level of play to be? Any deep-stacked tips (or for me, 6-MAX tips)?

I actually played the MM satty like six times ($3 buy-in, top two get 11 T$), and bought in to #1 and #10 that way. It was super easy. Played the token satty for #8. But regardless, I didn't get credit for any of the challenges.

What do you think about the shootout events? I mean, they're basically a bunch of consecutive SNG's, which makes them vastly different than the other tournaments. The guarantees aren't nearly as good, though.

I don't have much experience with these MiniFTOPS satellites but have asked family members who play alot what they thought of them. They said that the freerolls you gain an entry into are full of donkeys. To me this sounded like a good thing which I said to them. They disagreed:confused:

Not sure if I will play in any of the events. Maybe take a shot at #24 the KO $12 one. I like the idea of starting with 5,000 chips.

LOL rc, I said I thought they were donkaments and the payouts were spread really thin. In other words you have to wade through a minefield of donks to win $2 or $3. Of course there's always the potential to win more in them and also you win nothing if you're not playing them. Maybe I'll let you play mine if I qualify for any.

I've only tried two of these satellites so far (didn't care for them in the past). I bubbled a Stud H/L with 38 entrants and seemed to last forever by playing two hands near the end 'terribly'. Then played a #1 $7 entry and won in it (I prefer the satellites where between 1 in5 & 1 in 3 get paid. I'm just not into the 1 in 10 or 1 in 54 where you get tons of bad players in them).

Nice lineup of freeroll entries there OP!!

I am not a fan of the shoot outs, your right it's like a # of sngs which I am not good at. I stick to the MTTS

".

There are a lot of donks in the freerolls but like the FT Poker academy free rolls most peeps dont show up and as I like to say

"You can't get a hit unless you step up to the plate"

Maybe you could do the DD satty instead, and unreg? You'd be short ten cents, but you could just win another one. Like labman said though, there's gonna be some bad players (which should be a good thing, but it never works that way).

I just got bought into #15, it's the turbo one... I played a double deuce satty and used the T$ for this event instead. Should be interesting. It'll probably take about half the time as the deep stacked tourneys.

I think my goal will be to cash in one of the four tourneys I'm currently registered in... Obviously, I'm looking to do much better than that, but I think this is more realistic.

personally, I haven't qualified for any- I've bought in indirectly, playing smaller sattys and collecting tourney dollars. I'm not too upset though- for me, there's just too many people and the payouts aren't big enough to make them worthwhile. I'll just win each event i play :-D

I would definitely count on all 50,000 seats being filled come Sunday.

Anyone have any strategy on this? I assume there is going to be a whole boat load of sitters, I also figure there is going to be a whole boat load of all-ins during the first 10 hands. Soooooooo. I figure just to play extremely tight and try to pick up 2 or 3 nice size pots and stay healthy until the antes kick in, then it's game on !!
