Matrix is still running? Huh, learn something new every day..
Didn't ever really play these much, but I found a super-tight/mildly aggressive approach worked fairly well for me. Stopped playing because I didn't like multi=tabling wit the same 8 opponents on each table.

I try to stay away from Matrix tournaments because in order for you to win any money you have to be Top 3 atleast 2 out of the 4 and if your getting Top 3 1 out of 2 SNGs you probably could make better money... As for a tip for the first round play the way to feel most comfortable than after that depending on the results adjust accordingly to how you noticed your opponents playing... Good Luck

The basic strategy will be the same as playing regular STTs - tight early, open and start stealing in later stages and make good push-fold decisions when effective stacks are 10BB or less.
The question is why you'd want to play them in the first place rather than multi-tabling regular STTs...
i think it is too confusing with all of the tabs > I have never really given it a go just observed i dont think any thing worked better then the other stratageys when i did watch though. I find all of the other games a lot more fun

re: Poker & Full tilt Matrix
I agree that it would just be better to play four separate SnGs. The Matrix tables have been a ghost town for a long time I thought.

I played these with play money and dominated. Once i tried with real money and got half back. If its fun for you, play it. if you want to make money, avoid it,
