Hi there,

Recently i tried installing FTP in my MAC, and so far it's been horrible. It plays so damn slow, luckyly i have also a pc at home so i use it, but soon i'm travelling abroad and will be bringing my MAC laptop but i'm a bit worried that i wont be able to play at all.

It runs so slowwwwwww, it's incredible, i don't know if its the wireless connection or what. My friends run it from a mac and it runs fine.

I have a powerbook, running 10.3.9.

Anyone else having trouble or is it just me ?

I have a desktop running OSX 10.4.10 and have nooooooo problems ever.
Try updating to 10.4 or wait a month when OSX 10.5 is released.
If the software running slow is the only problem (it doesn't crash all the time)
Make sure yo have enough RAM available to run it. Check Full Tilt's minimum requirements to see if you have enough ram.. Also make sure you are not running other programs and see if that helps. Make sure to Quit the program and not just "X" it out. As far as your wireless connection is concerned, do regular web pages load quickly??? if they do then it would be safe to assume your wireless connection is ok. Last resort.....contact support and put in the subject "mac software support" and tell them your problem I'm sure they can help.
Good luck
PS. is your hard drive full???? the program may be fragmented and your drive is going crazy trying to keep up...

Life is eaiser with a Mac

I have the old football type iMac running 10.4.10 and I have no problems. Try frinding a user group near you or some college and have someone run some "repair" programs to clean up your ram and caches (sp).

I think it has to do more with the wireless connection. Was reading at the FTP forums and someone else was complaining also about his wirelless connection and how there were like lapses and that's what was creating the slow down.

thanks anyways for the responses
