Because I don't like to chat with those from my country.

I can't delete it. I can only replace it with a false country. I saw players who have no country. I suppose it must be an option for hiding the country.

You can choose "Christmas Island" or "Congo" or something. Make it fun.

Actually, I believe that the people that have no country are people that have not setup their accounts to be cash accounts yet. If they have not entered the info for them to be able to cash out the name is all you see.

This makes no sense to me. However, you can always turn your chat off.

You can't hide it. As was said above the only people who do not show a country are those who have never set up a real money account.

If they have no country its probably because they have many accounts and just transfred funds to that account. Since when you put your credit card you have to fill in information, try opening a new account and just transfer funds on there and you wont have to have a country. Let me know how it goes :)

Why do I suspect the real reason is a desire to FRW the country specific tournaments? I mean, if you don't want to chat, don't chat?

I agree. If you don't want to chat with someone, don't. Nothing says you have to. :p

As to changing your actual country to something else (or someplace fictitious), I wouldn't. Doing so will keep you from being able to enter the freerolls that are specific to your country.

Most are up and accepting entrants hours before they start. This isn't the case for those of us from the US however. Those are listed only an hour or so before they're scheduled to start. This make sense to me as they fill quickly.

I am not really sure what is the reason why you would not want to talk to the people from your country, but I do understand that the nationality at the online poker tables do get abused sometimes. I have had a very ugly experience with a guy who was railing our table and suddenly started attacking me for being from Latvia. He made lots of very ugly remarks, spoke of the history, which i mind you he was completely wrong and ignorant about. On the one hand who cares, let him talk himself to death, but on the other hand, a pride for my herritage take over, and I did respond to set the facts straight.
I was very fortunate to have played at the same table for a while and gaining peoples respect, so other people joined in to back me up....at the end, this guy started talking about a whole buch of countries that he hates so much....it was just rediculous...I just really dislike people come to the table and just talk junk instead of playing poker...
What ever your reason is for hiding the country, seems to me the best solution is just disconnect the chat so that you don't even have to see what people talk about.

Yeah that is real smart! Open a new account, transfer funds, then get both of your accounts closed.

I have seen people with no country playing real money tourneys.. so they are able to have cash.
but i asume they have won the money by freerolls, cuz they arent able to deposit or receive money transfers without country.

You wont get both of your accounts closed what are u talking about.
I know people that have done it and it does not close your accounts. I dont know if other websites do it but fulltilt does not close your accounts

people on fulltilt that dont have there country shown dont play for real money because all your details u have to have filled out to play cash games just to let the person know that said u carnt play in country specific freerolls if u dont have your country in your account info its untrue u can because the fulltilt servers go by your ip address to find out if your from the country your saying your from and determine your eligibility from that not from what u tell them in your account

Type in the chatbox " I have no chat."

They will probably get confused and leave.

Sort of but not really - you can play for cash without having completed your details (including your country), you just can't deposit or withdraw. Doesn't affect you if your cash comes from freerolls or player transfers.
