Apparently there is an email going around promising $10 for completing a survey for FTP. When you click on the link the site asks for you username / password. Do not follow the link. Do not enter your password. Your $$ will be stolen.

Info taken from 2p2 but it seems the email is fairly widespread. Again just delete the email and never enter your username / password anywhere but the FTP client. Important, Update from FullTilt Representative

Also adding a PIN to your FTP account can help minimize your risk. To do so log on to FTP then go to Security > Additional Authentication.

I added that pin the other night after you mentioned it in another thread. It is easy to set up and well worth it.

I just set up the pin as well and it's well worth the very little effort it takes. Thanks for the heads up WV!

Some poor mugs will end up losing the cash. When will people learn, NO company, financial institution, poker site or otherwise will ask for your password, pin or username. geez

I actually got this e-mail and was to lazy at the time to take it. I'll do it tomorrow I said.

So, I kept it in my mail for about a week before I just deleted it all together.

See, lazyness pays off. :D

Earlier today, a small number of players received a survey email request from full tilt poker that contained an incorrect link.

Unfortunately, rather than directing to the actual survey, the link connected to the hosting site and prompted for a username and password to access the web page. Rest assured, this was not a request for your Full Tilt Poker log in information, and any details that were entered were not recorded.

All players who received this email should now have received a second email with 'Updated' at the beginning of the subject line, and this updated email will link directly to the actual survey.

We apologize for any confusion caused. Remember, Full Tilt Poker will never ask you for your account password, and for your security, we strongly recommend you always keep this information confidential.

Sounds like this was a real survey then, but a screwed up link. Good to hear it wasn't something malicious. Still a good reminder to never enter your username / password anywhere other than the client.

Thanks for updating.

I got the survey, completed it last night and had the $10 deposited into my ft account this morning. Looks as if FT is examining the possibilities of changing some of their bonus/reward structures to something similar to PS. Lots of questions about what we as players would want in a rakeback/bonus/point/vip program. Very interesting Survey. Hope they adopt some of the things they wanted opinions on.

They've been hinting for a while at a new bonus/reward system that would reward overall volume (like Stars does with SN). Supposedly still a little ways off (if it's like Stars maybe it will start in Jan.?) but I would guess this is their way of gathering some opinions to make sure they haven't missed anything.

Looks like one of the options would be similar to sn on stars but with the ultimate prize? being becoming a red pro. I was suprised (pleasantly) with the speed the $10 appeared...last line of the survey was allow a week.
