Hey guys, wondering about the different country freerolls. I know my one, the Irish one, has $40 prize, and 3rd-18th get $2, 2nd gets $3 and winner takes $5. There are usually about 400 people entering it daily...
I have emailed fulltilt on many times to try to persuade them to change the prize structure, but nothing.
Is it the same stupid prize structure for everyone else???
:)  :)

You should be happy about it.

US freerolls are terrible.

Last time I played the UK one I came 3rd and won $9 - from memory I thought it was a $100 prize pool. So that's clearly a different structure to you in ireland.

Do you want more places to be paid? If the top 10% or so cash, which would be a the most common ratio, the payouts would be even smaller than they are now. Or do you want them only to pay the final table? Seems kind of harsh for a 400-player tourney.

And wouldn't it be better to put your effort into improving your game enough so it's no longer worth your while to play 400-person tourneys where the EV is 10 cents?

The US $250 7500 max is not that bad if you're catching cards. Still gotta watch out for the occasional donkey. I like it but its almost as bad as the public freerolls.

400 with a 40 dollar prize sounds alright... I'd rather play that in comparison to a 7500 person freeroll... the time it takes is much shorter and probably more serious play in the 40 dollar freeroll... 400 isnt a lot of people to get to the prize. 5 to 2 dollars is all you're generally going to get in a bigger freeroll anyways, only the top three positions pay much more and its really not that much more...

It is different for each country they have it for. The U.S. one is for 250. The structure of the Irish freeroll is the same exact structure of the 500k play chips one. I agree with you that the structure is horrible and they should change it.

I'm Irish too and I have also emailed Full Tilt to try to get them to bump up the prize pool to $100 with 27 places paid.

I've given up on playing it until they do make it more worthwhile.

They replied, saying it would stay as it is for now and maybe move up to $100 in the future.

I would obviously like to see it bumped so if enough of the Irish get on their case, they might just do it for us.

went out 16 in the US free roll, shoved A8 from the button only to run into pocket kings in the BB. I made like 3.75 i think, top place gets like 25 i think.

Im from South Africa, so I play the African freeroll which is also $40 18 places payed. it has about 350 peeps in it. You should be happy because they are the easiest freerolls on full tilt to beat. I won it a couple times ang got 2 doll many many times and got a roll going on tilt. I played the ftops 9 which was a 322 entrance (won 8.80 sat). And after all the experience ive had in MTTs I still cant make the money in the 2700 or now its 7500 player freerolls.lol
So I would be satisfied with the 40 to get a roll going. If you read a few books you should make 2 doll twice a week. when you get to 10 doll consider playing 10 one doll mtts to see if you can get a roll going.

Yes it is the same. I won the Romanian one 3-4 times(won 15 $) and placed 3-9 several times and i won from 2$ to 9 $. Pize pool is 100$ and i think is great.
Also i think they have the best freeroll system of all the poker sites.

UK freeroll is a $100 prize split between 27 places. Used to be 700-800 players, now its closer to 1500.
Still, easier to cash than most. 24 hour registration means 50% of the field are sit-outs and I'm not ungrateful since its free money....
