My FTP account was suspended a couple weeks ago because they wanted to verify my identity. I sent in all their requested documents, and then they said that even though my documents were accepted they can't unfreeze my account because my brother's account was having problems with funds. He said there was a problem because of the delay between the FTP transfer confirmation and the balance of his account, since his funds were low enough to overdraw his account at the time when FTP truly collected the funds. Needless to he and I added enough money to his account to cover his overdraw, but we're still awaiting FTP's confirmation. I was wondering if anyone else has had any similar trouble with FTP that can offer advice on how to expedite the situation (hoping it will be resolved at all). Thanks

Yeah just keep sending FTP e-mails, as this type of stuff is standard procedure, but they seem to take a while to verify all your info.. check out this thread : https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-rooms-10/ftp-block-my-account-191338/ (it is very similar to your situation).

Yeah, I've been emailing them a lot. I was also wondering about my brothers situation since my fate depends on his hahaha. I know exactly what you mean about them taking so long to respond though, it takes them about 3-5 days to get back to every single email... and they still don't answer my questions.

full tilt poker, where do start, their support is the worst on the net. Not only does it take days to get back to you, its normally an automated reponce, if they respond at all and they dont even answer the questions properly.

I Like TITAN Pokers support, its 24 hour LIVE help. Cant complain about that, and they are so polite.

Yeah it's horrible, they don't even have a phone number. They've answered NONE of my questions, let alone properly. The whole problem should be sorted out as soon as FTP get off their butts though because we've done everything here on our end. It's just a waiting game for now (or so I hope). I doubt they would even inform us if there were anything further we needed to do to get our accounts released.

This is a bit concerning both me and my brother play poker on a number of sites we have never played at the same table or tournament but have transferred money to each other and handed the other one straight cash, (eg he would transfer me $50 and i would give him $50 in cash or vice versa) its convenient and a faster way to cash out and see money in your account.

I also have a friend in my area and when one of us is short eg does not have much money on them we usually say ok transfer me $X and I will give you in cash. that is not abnormal as we usually like to keep as much money in the poker accounts as possible so we can move up and etc. its usually only at the point of been desperate that cash outs occur.

albeit this is usually only small amounts vast majority of the time its $50 it has been a little more occasionally.

this has been done on both pokerstars and full tilt only. We have never had any problems from any of the sites for doing this. I don't know why we would?

I had a Full Tilt account a long time ago. Over time I forgot my username, password and registered email address. When I contacted Full Tilt, they gave me a hint as to my registered email address, so that I was able to remember it. The problem is that that email address no longer exists and I have no way to bring it back into existence again. So when I wrote to them I got a reply from some non-English-speaker called Milan who said they couldn't do anything for me. I just emailed them back hoping that a different customer service rep who is more flexible will reply this time. The original customer service rep was very accommodating and helpful and even asked me to contact him again if I needed more help. Hopefully he'll answer the second query.

If they keep refusing to help me, what are the risks of just creating a second account? I imagine Full Tilt won't do anything to stop me from depositing, but they might cause problems if I ever try to cash out.

I think it may be a problem if you are inquiring from the different email address, it could appear some is trying to get your information. I would keep trying and maybe offer to send ID verifying who you are.
The risks of creating the second account would be that when you went to cash out, they WILL find out about it and suspend your account.

What if, instead of cashing out myself, I transfer the funds to a friend who also has a valid account, and then have the friend give me cash?

When your friend goes to cash out, they will probably look at their account, and see a transfer of that amount from you....imo you are better off keep trying to get to them, maybe sending the email to both support@fulltilt.com and security@fulltilt.com.
Also offer to supply valid ID.
Good luck!

I have had the same issues with Fulltilt in the past, and I have just stopped playing on their interface for the most part. It's just too much hassle and their support takes forever it seems to respond unless you make your e-mail sound urgent. I would recommend just sticking with Pokerstars, I think everyone can agree that it is the superior interface in comparison to Fulltilt. But hey, if you want to deal with all the hassle man, go right ahead!

I like Full Tilt's software a lot more. Not that there's anything wrong with Pokerstars, I just prefer FT by far. Their support is another story. It's ridiculous that it takes them 5 days to respond to a single email. They don't have to do anything at all, just read my email and look at my pictures. I don't know if they're short-staffed, backed up, or if they just don't care. I'm sure its a little of all of those, but would it kill them to hire more people? Not like it's a highly skilled position. There must be some reason that, after all this time, they still have such delayed customer service.

I'm truly annoyed with the whole thing, but I still can't wait to get back to playing at FTP. I've been playing a little at Ultimate Bet, but I'm definitely a Full Tilt player at heart.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I forgot to come back here and post when my account was released (luckily this thread died out). Anyway, roughly a week ago they released my account when my brother's correctional transfer cleared with the bank. Figured I'd post and let everyone know because I'm sure you've all been losing sleep over my problem haha.

Thanks again.
