The funds cannot have been withdrawn as the cheque would be on it's way to you. The only way it could have been emptied is either played and lost or transfered to another player. If it was transfered, you would have received an email from FT, so ask them to do a reversal. The recipients nick would also be in the email so make it public. If it was played and lost I would suspect it was 2 seat sngs.? Ask for HH's.
Hope you get it sorted.

I'm pretty sure you can check transfer history in your FTP account as well.

Thanks for the replies all.

I have no idea how they got in other than my PC at home may have been hacked.

There is nothing in transfer history and I have not received any emails that say anything was transfered to another account. I assume it was played and lost.

I will have hand history sent to my email and hopefully FTP can trace the IP of who played my money and get it back to me.

:(

The reason for asking for the HH, is that FT staff will easily determine if the game was "lost" on purpose. They will also check the way the account holder "normally" plays and will know if he was playing or not.

Sadly in these cases generally you never get your $$ back. The latest FTP update added a PIN feature that I urge everyone to take advantage of. It makes keylogging hacks less likely to succeed. Most likely your hacker gained access to your ftp email account and had the password reset allowing them access.

The PIN is enabled under Security > Additional Authentication

It looks like this:

Just checked login history on FTP and it seems someone from the UK logged in as me today. The IP address and Country are clearly different than mine so hopefully this will be enough fo them to recover the funds that were lost.

I am very unsure of playing onine now at this point even though I have chsnged my passwords for all of my accounts.

I have virus software and spyware software but perhaps I need something more. Do any of those detect and remove key loggers. I will have to look into them tonight when I get home. Thanks.

I am worried that other things like my banking info could be comprimised now as well.

Ouch:mad: Surely FT can track the player/s involved if the money was dumped to another.

If you thnk your PC was hacked have you got updated Antivirus and checked for any spyware/trojans etc

YOu can download free antispyware programs all free, a few I know are

Spybot S/D http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/
Adaware http://www.lavasoft.com/
SPywareblaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Gl with whatever happens

You may be able to go into your cashier > My promotions > Hand History Requests (beta). If you don't have that option (some do, some don't) FTP can send you the hand histories in email.

I just use spybot sd and spyware blaster, havent used adaware for a long time but both are good.

You could also try Mcafee Stinger (free) which will search and remove any trojans. Just remmeber to turn off system restore before you use it if you have to remove any. Its a standalone free application

http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

or try a free online virus scan, the best one is kaspersky but it doesnt remove them just tell you which if any you have

http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/virusscanner

or housecall free virus scan

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

Here is my reply from FTP. Guess my days of playing for money over there are over.

Thanks for writing in.

After a review into your account I can confirm that your account lost the aforementioned funds during what can be considered a 'foreign login' and occurred using a computer you have not utilized in the past. During this login approximate ..... was lost on the tables in legitimate hands. That is, the funds were not deliberately lost to a specific player in a fraudulent manner.

To further understand this issue, we kindly ask you to answer the following questions if applicable:

1) Have you given your login information to a family member or friend?
2) Have you given your login information to any third party websites?
3) Do you often leave the 'Remember Password' button checked?
4) Have you recently downloaded any third party software (data mining programs, e-books etc.)?

Finally, regarding any potential reimbursement I'm afraid we will not be able to refund you the money. From our perspective the money was lost in legitimate hands to legitimate players. Refunding players in these situations would create a loophole for dishonest players to simply claim any loss as fraudulent activity.

Do not let our denial of reimbursement function as any slight to you as a customer. We are by no means insinuating that you are putting in a false claim or attempting to defraud full tilt poker. However, please know that compromised accounts are never the result of any security issues on the part of Full Tilt Poker. Almost always a logical explanation can be deduced after examining the off-site activity of any given username.

As your account has been compromised on multiple occasions, please be advised your computer may be compromised. At this time, we strongly suggest you run the latest spyware and anti-virus programs on your computer and/or have a reputable professional inspect your computer for malicious software.

For security measures, we have suspended the basic functionality (play, chat, transfer etc.) of the account pending confirmation you are satisfied with your computer security and have changed your password and regained control of the account.

We do encourage you to email in should you have any additional information to assist us in this matter. Ultimately this will help us determine the best course of action to ensure your account security in the future.

Makes you wonder what they were planning on doing if they won big. Oh well. I guess it is a lesson learned. I am done with FTP and should this happen to me elsewhere i will be done with money play poker for good.

I don't know if you want to see it but you can see your $$ dissappearing here: http://www.pokertableratings.com/fulltilt-player-sessions/kmixer

He/She actually won over $300 HU before losing it all at 6-max.

Looks like you had under $100 in your account when they got it?

I understand being pissed off but I don't think you can really blame FTP.

As for what they were going to do if they won? They knew when they started they were going to lose it all. They're like kids stealing cars to joyride. They know at the end of the night they're going to trash the car, doesn't stop them from driving it around for a bit 1st.

Sorry to hear about this, but this has made me change my PW at PS and I have also implemented the pin function which I will later update to their RSA security token when I have enough FPPs.
