Ive been playing on full tilt for awhile now, and just wanted to get some opinions about the site. I play alot on there and out of say 8 hours of play I see some hands that are almost impossible to get at least ten times. when we actually sit down at the table and play for an afternoon, or even in actual tournaments you never see cards come out the way they do on full tilt, or players actually hitting the river almost every hand. So my question is does anyone else find it odd how often big hands are made on Full tilt, also how often people catch their hands on the river. Now I know the river kills alot of people, but it seems as though on full tilt its every hand. Just wanted to talk about this.....

It always seems like you see impossible things and very bad beats hapopen online more the live and that is because of the more numbers of hands seen online. I dont think one sites has more river beatings then another

Over the years I have seen a lot of bs on full tilt. As a result I moved to stars, and after a while saw plenty of bs there. You will see bs everywhere, and full tilt has the most pros of anysite, so they must be doing something right. It also has the best gameplay of any site. Good luck.

people always seem to count the amount of times that the suckouts happen on the river and how this doesn't happen in live games, so try this next time...

count the hands online that don't hit or are just regular in relationship to the total dealt, then do the same thing for live poker...you'll come up with some more realistic numbers instead of just focusing on the bad

I have been playing a lot on FT and don't see an abnormal number of rare hands. Seems normal to me.

It is almost same for every online poker room. I have been playing all of the most known online poker rooms and I can say that there aren't any big differences among them

I have been playing on FT for about 6 years and yes, it may seem that way. Cant tell you how many times I have had the best hand and have gotten killed on the river. Even last night playing I lost to the river many times. Plus I must been dealt the same hand 3 or 4 times in a row. Example: I was dealt AJ 3 times in a row and I think that is weird. If the cards are ramdom their program needs to be re-done. Oh well, I guess that is poker.

i have played many sites and Ub is one of the worst...AA hardly ever wins. OF course AA might win more if people on UB didnt play so many donkey hands. ITs like everyone on UB is First time players and call anything, and then end up winning.

Just my opinion, but I don't believe FT is any worse than any others and I have played most of them a lot. I'd have to agree with yeppers and bolda3 that I think it's a combo of WAY more hands than you would ever see in live play and a lot of donkeys who think they're Gus Hanson on TV.

I think it's important to keep track of your own stats, which all the rooms do while you're in the game. In my case, there's very little difference from room to room. As for the donks, change games or wait for them to self destruct, as they usually will. I, too, like FT's interface the best and AP's the least. Pokerstars is somewhere in the middle. Actually, I think Doyle's Room was the very worst, which is why I never go there anymore.

Casino Net?

Nope, must have missed that one.

Mansion Poker was pretty awful as I remember it.

WPT.Net deserves a dishonorable mention. Have they ever heard of illumination. I mean, when dark blue is the brightest color background available, things are pretty dim. Looks like they stole the original UBNet interface and changed the colors.

The "new" UBNet annoys me, as I can't assign color spots to players like I used to be able to and still can on FT. It's helpful, to me at least, to be able to quickly spot players I've categorized before; i.e. expect an orange to be an AIM (All In Moron) you're gonna have to wait out and check to see how tight or loose the reds (Aggressive) are between hands.

I know you can make notes on UBNet, Absolute and Pokerstars too, but that little "N" doesn't tell you anything other than that you made a note. And then you have to open the darn thing instead of just rolling across the avatar like you can on FT.

If you really had been playing for 6 years on FTP, you wouldn't complain in this thread about FTP being whatsoever 'rigged' . Program needs to be re-done?? I mean...

It could be that, that happens on every pokersite, but I think nowhere else it is so extrem how it is on fulltilt. I can't count how often I get rivered, but certain about 60 times.
Can anyone recommand a better site than fulltilt?
I'm so tired of being rivered everytime

I am convinced that they do not have random cards at FT yes mathmatically its possible to suck out a certain percent of the time....
but I have no doubts that the deck is stacked for the drawing hand way more then his fair share of the time. Runner runner runner runner gimme a break
I have emailed FT about this site [old link~tb] but all you get is a standard reply. True random cards would cost FT in Rake because the donks would go away.

So you always go all in with drawing hands, and hands that need runner runner to win right? If you are correct that would be an unexploitable strategy as you would always draw out and win or your opponent would fold and win.

I've been playing for 4 years on-line now. I've wondered about the randomness myself. The conclusions I've come up with, although with no actual evidence, is that-
If it is rigged, it isn't rigged against me. I go into a pot with the underdog hand too, and I win some of them. It goes both ways.
Wierd things happen live too. When I got KK, AA is out there too, and a 88 WINS! Seen it live. Among many others.
The game of poker itself sucks. The ignorant are too often rewarded.
Threads like these will never stop appearing.

With the amount of players here that frequent FT, I think it's a good site. I like PS, and hear the same complaints about it. When I don't hate poker, I love it, so I'm gonna deal with the tough beats and keep playing. lol.
Good Luck,
Tom

I have played regularly at many sites and seen a lot of crazy things. I played at Poker Room and people said the site was BS. I saw a guy go all-in with 33 against a tight UTG raiser's KK and he said, "Come on Poker Room, I know you'll do it!"

People call poker stars "River Stars."

I admit I have seen this phenomenon a ton: I'm all-in with AK vs. QQ, hit A on flop and Q comes on river.

I am sure it is random though. The variance of cards is crazy. I've seen quads live, straight flushes, AK beating KK with a crazy AAK flop. At a home game I played at, one week almost every all-in was won by high-card hands (i.e., AK vs. AJ or A9 vs. KQ).

The next week, we had monster hands against each other, with people holding two pair rivering boats to beat flushes. I won a $150 pot with T9 vs. 98 on a 996 6 board -- T on river. The thing about cards is that it's so random that there's no need to rig things -- they will happen.
