There was a thread a little while ago about FT's One-on-One with Antonius SnG freerolls that run every 4 minutes. I didn't know about them until that thread and have found that they're great to play in.

They have two different versions, a 180 seat SnG that pays out the top two with an entry to Round 2 (or 100 FTP), and a 360 seat SnG that pays the top 1. I've been playing the 180 seats, I haven't messed with the 360s.

Since there are SnGs starting every four minutes, it doesn't take but 3 or 4 hands before half the field has donked out. That takes the field down to 90 or so and real poker begins. Just in the past two days I've had several final tables with my best finish being 3rd. One of my problems is I don't have enough experience getting close to the end of tournaments that I start choking when I get down near the money.

Just thought that some people may have missed the thread that casually mentioned these SnGs.

I play in the 180 peep ts on a nightly basis and have excellent luck. Depending on how many I will play in a night I can make consecutive final tables. I have won over a dozen of these but I just go and unregister from the second round tourney and take the 100FTP to use in other tourneys that are available. You do not need to go all-in all the time to win you can still play a smart and patient game to get far. They average about an hour to an hour and 15min so you can kind of calculate when you need to make something happen if you are so short stacked there is no way your going to get back in the game. I have walked into final table with 6k and within 5min gone from short stack to chip leader and on to win.

The 180 S&Gs are actually every 2 minutes (no idea why you would waste your time playing the 360 seat version if it only pays the top finisher)

My strategy is simple:
-Push all in with decent hands until you get to 10k in chips
-Play 3-4 of these at a time (increasing your chance of finishing in the top 2

I've made 300FTP in a couple of attempts doing the 180 S&G's and have used them to enter the 27 man turbo's for 90FTP.

100FTP not worth it

if you look at the cost benefit analysis on this tournament... your playing against 180 players for 100ftps... and then you have to go used it to play against 2,000 or so player to get 10,000... it's nearly impossible...

but it might be a great place to practice some hands... and get to see a lot of flops... so knock yourself out ;-)

I too love these donkfests as you can get some good late stage tourny experience much quicker than since you can go deep so often each night

I've played this several times as well. I've won once and cashed in the FTPs...made the final table three times too. The 180 person game with two tickets is the way to go for sure. If you can take a few of these down, considering its running for awhile yet..you can get quite a few FTPs you can use for other games. It might provide a chance for you to bypass a stage 1 satellite and move right into a stage 2 satellite for things like the sunday brawl or maybe some satellite tokens.

I've made the final table quite a few times. Won 200 FTPs so far. I did this by making sure that I only played in the tournaments that had 180 plrs and thus 2 prizes of 100 FTPs each. It should be the other way around with 2 prizes for the 360 plr tournaments and 1 prize for the 180 plrs but obviously this unevenness gives you a better chance of winning in the smaller tournament. I usually just unregister after winning from Round 2 and use the FTPs in a different tournament since I don't really have a chance playing against the more experienced players found on Full Tilt in Round 2 of this promotion.

No need to go through the qualifiers. Just withdraw and keep the 100 Full Tilt Points. Take those and enter in the 25 or 50 full tilt poker S@G's. Before you know it you'll win 4 of em and have your 10,000 FTP entry fee.

I've been playing in these for some time. Only it used to be poker after dark. It's the exact same format. I'm ashamed to admimt it but I'm one of the all-in first hand people. They run so many, it's the best chance you got. You win that hand, and then proceed to play poker. You lose you register again in four or five minutes. I've won probably a dozen of them going back into the poker after dark series. Not too tough.

Poking for fun will do nothing to further your skills. FR's are for advancing your skills. Don't waste your time. After all, it takes a cuppla years at FR's to get your game on anyway. Don't waste it.

Believe me when I say this. Wait for your hand. The early pokers are just holding your money for you. When you get your hand, start shooting. You'll get em. They're always ready for a pissing contest.

1 hour 20 mins... for 100ftps

I just won the first turbo tourney sit-n-go 180... for 100ftps... I know I said it was a waste of time... and I stand by it... took me 1 hour and 20 mins... to earn 100ftp... I could have earned more then that have I sat down at a $1/$2 cash ring game for the same amount of time...

am not sure if I want to play on the next round... the competition gets a lot more intense... for now, I took myself out of the tourney... still got till tomorrow night to think about it...

Yeah i reccomend unregistering from the second round unless you really want to play that, 100ftp in your account isn't too bad and you can do things with it in various tournaments.

I recommend playing the 15 F.T.P tourneys with them, or the 50 F.T.P 45 player SnG's. They pay 2500 F.T.P's. Four of those (plus 1200) and you're inna 9 player SnG like this--> (#57983183) which go directly to the 2.5 MILLION FTOPS main event.

A pipe dream? Yes. But a fairly easy path on the way. :)

Cool, didn't know these ran on a schedule. Thought they just appeared randomly when one of them finished. I've had zero luck at these sng's but do fit right in with my showdown style game.

Just won my 2nd Round 1 game and cashed in another 100 FTP. The other two players in the end were interesting. One of them had an uber-massive chip stack...no way he was busting out unless he did something absolutely stupid..which his predecessor actually did. His predecessor had a chip stack that was only 10,000 chips less then everyone else at the table combined..guaranteeing him a spot basically. Instead he chipped his chips away at everything and busted out in 5th place. Not smart considering its 90 mins of your time...even if it is a freeroll.

The game deciding hand..I had AQ..and AQ came on the board...didn't think i'd get much action on it but I had raised good pre-flop. The 3rd place finisher had Q/10 so it was all over then.

The 180 player games with 2 tickets are definitely the way to go over the 360's.

where can i find this SnG?

You can either look at the sng-tables or the freeroll-tournaments on Fulltilt.

The tourney is marked light brown and is full within seconds so click fast when it opens.

They are called: .net-poker after dark rd 1 sng 360 pls
.com-poker after dark rd 1 sng 180 pls

It opens appr. every 3 min.

If u have the patience these freerolls are very easy to win and could really be useful to advance to the satellites or cash out FTPs for other tourneys.

The problem with the 180 SnGs is that it's almost impossible to register for them as they disappear by the time u've clicked on them when it's rush hour on FT. I have developed several methods for getting them, as I rarely have real money in my account...)

The best one is to open the relevant tourney's ROUND 2 lobby, where the satellites are listed and from there to open the SnG lobby while it's still on announced status... then just keep the mouse on the empty spot until the register button appears and then just click.

I hope someone finds this useful..... :D

thanks for bumping this old thread. i had seen these SNGs on FTP but didn't know that i could register because of the lack of a register button.

Multitabling these seems like a good way to earn FPPs. I played in couple today and bubbled the final table in both. I'm going to try 10-tabling them tomorrow. :joyman:

I recommend the 180s, too.
2 seats awarded and only 179 opponents.
But closes really fast.
