I see alot of you are doing the challenges. I didn't see one already so figured I'd start one. You can post questions about different challenges, offer tips, post about completing a challenge, or post about goals for completing a challenge. How many point do you have? What do you think the easiest/hardest challenge is so far?

Good idea, I almost made a thread yesterday after seeing random comments about them in different threads. I just started on Sunday when I realized they are giving away FTP equivalents for completing some easy challenges (not all of them of/c)

I've watches a couple of the vids, but not really using the academy to learn anything yet, I just want a fulltilt chipset :D and can make it there 10x faster than earning FTP at microstakes...so I've avoided anything difficult so far, just doing the 5 commom holdem leaks atm. The hardest part about that one seems to be finding enough Axs to fold  about to complete it for the third time in next few minutes. 1400 points down, 13300 to go...

...btw, every time I visit I see your name on top of some leaderboard, cardplayer. What's that for/about?

I was going to ask that. I wasn't sure if it everyone saw there own name there or not. I must be in alphabetical order and I was one of the 1st to take the test. LOL my claim to fame. Yes the Axs is the hardest part of that challenge. I think the betting basics is the easiest one so far.

Nah, I don't like that one. Finished all of it except winning the c/r semibluff on the flop and I'm spewing loose change chasing it. Also, pretty sure fulltilt's reports aren't completely accurate as my JJ 3x openraise three from the big blind (mp no?) didn't register...and I was counting my Axs openfolds when I was doing the other and they weren't catching them all. I ended up folding A8s + A9s when it folded to my button at 6max just to finish the damn thing. I'm not playing to win money anymore, I just want points, rofl.

In your cashier, click on "my promotions" button, then choose the full tilt academy on the next page of options.

forgot about the check/raise that was tough. but atleast i learned that i can check/raise allin with TPTK or better and be called by middle or bottom pair all the time. i'm working on medium stack play right now and smashing the 27player SNGs.

Heh yea ^^. That's why its not working, no one will fold and my draws aren't hitting. Going to start checkraising my big hands on the flop more now.

I moved on to the "playing microstakes" one, seems atleast as easy as the last two mentioned other than tripling your stack. I hardly ever do that in a normal session, will have to stay at a table awhile to accomplish that.

Did the "value betting" another pretty basic one that can be finished just by playing without trying to specifically do something.

Looking at some of the higher point challenges now, don't like the ones that need to play fullring. Not just because i prefer 6max, but when you have to openraise from late position with specific hands that can be very difficult to find the opp. at microstakes b/c it almost never folds to late position.

Think a good one to do is "Sizing Up Opponents" for 500 points. Other than the proplay (which is just winning several decent pots in a session) none of the tasks need to be repeated. You need to succ. resteal, double barrel with no pair, and fold top pair+ when bet into on flop or turn. Seems pretty easy, haven't tried it yet though.

a new one out Phil Gordon's game selection. a little bit of everything in this one. i even think the cardchat freerolls count towards cashing in a MTT. not 100% on that but about 90% sure they do.
