Last post for the night:

Looking for opinions on Full Tilt's rush poker. Yay or nay?

On the up side, you can play more hands per hour. On the down side, it's really hard to get reads on opponents, and you are forced to make decisions faster.

Looking for all opinions! Thanks.

I vote yay.

Pros:

- Fast paced fun poker even at Full Ring.
- Plenty of fish to go around.
- Great way to learn table dynamics against other rush regs

Cons:

- More swingy than standard table play (due to playing so many hands at a time and being forced to make quick decisions)

It's not hard to get reads on opponents. Get HEM or PT3, that's what those programs are for. Using TableNinjaFT will also help you play "faster" if you use hotkeys, allowing you more time to make decisions.

I also vote yay, but I also haven't played that much. I played my first session a couple nights ago for about an hour and finished up $10 and i'm playing right now and i'm already up $7 and I just sat down 30 min ago so my opinion might be a little biased based on my results

Its like Crack. When you're on it everythings flippin amazing. Then you try and play normal speed poker and begin twitching like an addict at the intolerable delay. Although the Points you collect are perhaps the most addictive thing about it.
NB I am not a crack head its a simile.

Rush is the devil. Seems like way more fish at the regular tables. Whenever I was ahead in rush I wasn't that far ahead I was always up against strong hands. Just better off mass multi-tabling probably.

Rush is both the devil and crack. I think that answers the original query. Problem is it feels so damn good.

Everyone here is right. It is fun and exciting, but also makes regular poker a little less enjoyable.

Regular poker is less enjoyable because there's no rush.

I don't know about that. Some people (two former CC members for instance) have ridiculously consistent results at rush.

I think it's easier to tilt and level yourself, but if you have really good discipline, then it's not intrinsically more swingy. Although tbh, people in the SSNL regs thread at 2+2 keep arguing both sides of this issue too.
