poker stars is the only way to go, their support is the best in the business and you get 6 months to clear your deposit bonus, also they now have $2500.00 first depositers freerolls which you can possible make some money in them as their are 3 a day at 12.00pm, 4.00pm, and 8.00pm and I think the entrys are less than 1000.

in my opinion pokerstars is the best one, and then FT becouse I like the style of PS more and there are more functions for example you can search for playing pokerstars-pro-members or you can upload a picture which will be shown at tables you are playing at.
And i never had deposittroubles at both provider...
If I were you, I would download both and play a bit with playmoney to get an impression :p

:D I prefer Stars. Support is second to none and selection of games is the widest 24/7.

Even though FT started some micro limit games, Stars still has the best selection, imo. FT rake on SnG's and tourneys is too high - a big factor.

GL - as someone suggested, try them both on free play to get a feel for the sites. Then decide. The ponds won't get fished out while you do ...

In this moment I play more time in pokerstar, because their support and site organozation. The problems are the longer freerolls to get just a ticket, but there are another kinds of freerolls that you can play.
If you really go to deposit $50 you will receive a bonus and can play their freerolls to firts deposit.

FTP definitely. support wise, i have nothing but glowing reviews for FT, they responded to my every query and request within 24hrs and have been generally accommodating.

Also, one of the most important issues is that FTP has rakeback! how can u reject the offer of getting 'free' money back every week/month depending on which site u sign up with, as compared to PS, which doesnt offer rakeback.

As stated, Stars support is fabulous.

However, if you are into making money, stay at UB. WIth the change to the Cerius network, and much improved performance, I am liking the new UB more and more. Biggest drawback IMO is there aren't as many like minded people and thus SnG's fill slower. That and a processing fee to withdraw.

FT is fine, and I like the interface there best of all, but they have a bad rep as far as support goes. No processing fee to withdraw.

Everything works at Stars, but still there is something that I have never been able to put my finger on that prevents me from being a fanatic about the place. Worse, I can just barely stomach sitting at a stars table for a long period. Wish I could figure it out cause Stars does have the biggest variety and biggest prizes of all sites.

From a 'pleasant to sit at' POV, IMO, avoid bodog.

Graphic and program-wise, Full Tilt is the best. People and withdraw method, I would say Pokerstars is slightly better. Both sites fill up seats very fast and has lot of volume of players. I would recommend full tilt. But that's just me. I don't like program and graphic of pokerstars.

If you are playing tourneys, pick the one with the longer blind structure. If you are playing cash, pick the one with the most games at the stakes level you want.

I prefer FT because I like their tourney structure. The 10cent rebuy is great value....PS sng's fill at an amazingly fast rate. Why are you leaving UB?

FT is best if you want to get your money in good and be continually beaten. PS is best if you want to get your money in good and be continually rivered.

Whichever you prefer. :p

I would have a slight preference for FT. Just because I like the graphics of the site better than PS. It just has a better "feel" to it in my mind. Otherwise, no big differences between the two.

Graphic and program-wise, Full Tilt is better??? Full Tilt looks like an NES game from 1985, when Back To the Future was a huge box office hit and we were all singing We Are the World!!! Poker stars has a better GUI hands down!!!

Few criteria imo:

software: debatable but I prefer stars on that one. Plus if you don't like the look it's a lot more customizable

Ease of multi-tabling: Stars hands-down

rakeback: If you're playing 50nl or less FTP rakeback is better, higher at a decent volume and Stars fpps are probably better value. Not sure at what point Stars does better with tourneys.

Support: Stars by a lot, but FTP has gotten better. At least now it's only a few days instead of a few weeks to wait. Most of the time Stars will get back to you within the hour and if not then at least within a few hours. Plus they have a much better sense of humor :).

rng: we all know that all poker is rigged so they're both broken

Softness of games: I've heard the $20ish tourneys at Stars are much softer, I think the 100-400nl games at FTP are softer. I have no idea other than that but have to believe they're similar

rake: Not sure with the addition of micros whether they've fixed this but FTP used to rake 10nl at 10% (as opposed to 5% by any other site). If they still do this and you play 10nl or less you're better off with Stars. Because even with 27% off, 10% - rakeback is still way more than just 5%.

I currently play on both, definitely like the software for both but as mentioned I think I like Stars a bit better and at the rate I play Stars gives me about 33% equivalent rakeback compared to the 27% by FTP. Basically I just usually table select between the two though and pick the tables that are softest.

You really can't go too far wrong with either one, unless you're playing 10nl and lower and they still have 10% rake, then play on Stars.

fulltilt's new update changed the rake at the at the 10nl to 5% which gives microstakes grinders a bit more of a chance now. If you are an sng player, i think the sngs at ft are more softer and can be beat on a more consistent basis.

I prefer FT to PS. FT was the first one I downloaded and was impressed with the graphics. I think the avatars are cool even though it would be nice to upload your own pix to site. I like the tourney structure and rakeback earnings potential. Just my .02

FWIW, I prefer FT's interface to Stars. As far as support goes, I have never had to avail myself of support at Stars, but my experience, mostly recent, at FT has been good. In the OFC games this last weekend, they responded to my emails asking why the registration hadn't opened as scheduled within an hour, which I find impressive.

I will add the caveat that I have only played freerolls (Stars own and private) on Stars and that I hate their in-house freeroll setup. You have to play a freeroll to win admission to another freeroll that actually pays out ($1000). The real problem with this is that, although you may have won your ticket in stud, razz, LHE, A-5 draw or 2-7 draw (all of which I've won tickets in), the weekend freeroll has always been NLHE, at least in my experience. FT, on the other hand, has multiple daily FR's in PLO, PLO8, NLHE and Razz.

However, since I now actually have a whole $.25 bankroll on Stars (leaving only Bodog, of the rooms I actually play at all, left to get $$ in), I will continue to grind away, in private freerolls, in hopes of actually getting to sample some of the micro-limit games there.

I would echo other's advise to try both with the play money games and see which one is the most user friendly to you.
