FTP login error

I was playing on FTP and a friend wanted to create an account so I let him do it on my laptop. For some weird reason he can't log in at all now and I can't log into my account either. Is anyone else having this problem??

It could be because you're trying to reg a new account on a laptop that FTP knows as already used by your own account (same IP adress, of course).
It prevents them from users who create many accounts and cheat !
That's my explanation, but I'm not sure...

No thats correct, email FTP support and tell them the situation, they'll probably be pretty understanding if you don't have any previous violations and problems.

I used more than one account on my computer.
This is not the reason i think.

I am willing to bet it may be. I would fire off an email just to make sure.

Not only did I have 2 people playing Tilt from my old computer, but at least 2 accounts were created on it, possibly more (not by me though), but that was 3 years ago. So, I tend to agree this is not the problem, unless they've made some security enhancements. If it's convenient, one troubleshoot would be to try to log in from a different location. But write them.

I think maybe you just have too many names, toomanynames.

Email FTP and be honest. It is the best policy you know.

You should be able to create two accounts on the same computer without having the accounts being locked

I'm pretty sure your account will only get locked if more then one account tries to deposit on the same ip address.

Thanks for all the posts! FTP got a hold of me and said I have to have my friend send them a photo copy of his bank statement, his housing lease and his photo id to validate the account. Sounds like a lot of work but it should be quick with a dig camera and a few emails.

I agree with platinium because it seems correct. I'm sure all sites do there best to prohibit multi-accounting to prevent cheating. e-mail FTP support, hope all goes well. GL
