I have played on FTP 9 years before the crash and again since it returned, have only experienced this issue once before...suddenly in every game I have really bad lag it keeps saying disconnect, connected, disconnect , connected every 2 seconds...someone told me before I might have conflicting flash drives to dump them all and reload only one, and that worked.
This time the problem started after I did a malaware search and registry clean, for 3 days every game is in lag mode....doing the flash clean up has not worked, anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue..The worst thing about this is I don't get to see the river card and don't know why I or the other player won ?? Thank you for any suggestions fellow players.

I've always found full tilt a bit laggy,
but better than other sites with blocky graphics (looking like 8 bit 1980s micros) which can be even more laggy.
Sometimes I can hear the beeps for action but no cards are displayed.
pokerstars appears to have the most reliable client software, and is probably the only software that could handle the world record attempts. I remember fulltilt lagging badly when they tried to do big field tournaments.

Usually though the problem is an over worked computer and poor software or operating system that doesn't release memory properly when tasks have ended.
Restarting the computer on synchronised breaks often helped.

Disconnects could be caused by a poor Internet Service Provider, or a badly performing modem router (modem reset can help), or a problem with the client device.

From your description though it sounds like time to externally backup all data and make a new clean operating system install, obviously followed by service pack updates, and application software and data reloading.

You could try rebooting your modem and router, as Chemist said!

Occurred to me later you were talking about Flash Drives.
Flash dives have a limited number of writes.
They cannot be used in the same way as a normal hard drive.

A while back I thought I had come up with a great idea to use them as swap disks for virtual memory. Fortunately I did some research first and realised that if I had tried this they would only have worked for a few months.

There are a lot of misleading articles on the net now about 'flash drive memory boost'. What they don't make clear is that they rely on 1) Newer Flash Drives with longer lives. 2) Large amounts of memory installed to minimize the flash usage.

Be aware of the limitations of flash drives.
