FTP Edge Freerolls ..... Daily now actually free :D

I figure many people might be aware already as its been like it for a while now but just thought I would throw it out there to let people know or get some discussion going on it.

FTP has changed its once 25FTP to enter T$ and RGT Daily Edge games into an actual freeroll so do not have to use FTP to play, you do of course need to have some kind of edge level. The downside to this of course is the fields then jumped almost 10 fold, but uber soft in the T$ games and well the RGT games are super turbo.

So who out there knows about it and plays them, or didn't know about it and will now start playing them?

I will also add what would you do or have you done with the RGT? Its a 5$ ticket which top 100 get and takes 125FTP to actually release the value of the ticket to your br.

FTP RGT (Ring Game Tickets)

Guess no one playing the edge freerolls lol

So I post the question in relation then, for anyone that plays FTP what do you do with you FPP? Ever purchase the RGT rather than tourney or stt tickets, more importantly if you do what plan of attack do you have with it?

@125FTP to unlock 5$ its kinda a brutal grind to do so, I generally would take it to the 5 or 10nl rush game and hope to hit a few hands early and would then standup and let the excess roll into my br as actual $$. I also figure this is the best way to have any chance of unlocking it without it taking forever, because of raking more and building faster.

Anyhow maybe this will get some interest, or at least more than 100+ views with 0 comments.......maybe no one here plays FTP anymore in which case even comment with that lol.

Thanks for mentioning the edge freerolls i didnt no about them.I will be playing them from now on.
I dont play much on FTP, just the cc freeroll. I mostly play pokerstars.
I just checked it out and found out i cant take part of them, you need edge status to play them.

I've won some of those tics, sometimes they even last for awhile

I do the same as you- sit on rush, quick points- and if I double up- get up- bank excess, and sit back down again
Ive used fpps to enter a few satellites (like to 250k game)
rgt tics dont expire if you use them at least once a week I believe,
so Ive never been concerned about unlocking the $5, it either adds a bunch to the bankroll or its a lost buyin,

If you have any funds there at all its easy to get the bronze edge, 1fpp avg over the last 30 days and it will get you access to these daily's and two games on sundays.

1fpp is like 2 x 0.5$ sng's.

@mic: yeah as long as used in last 7 days the rgt don't expire.

Thanks again for telling me about these freerolls bluff. I won a $5.00 ticket for ring game but not quite sure how they work was hoping you had an idea how they work? I found the lobby for them but was wondering if i could only play a few hands and transfer unused funds to my regular account or do i have to play a certain amount of time before doing so? The reason for this is that the smallest table is 2 and 5 cents and i would rather only play the 1 and 2 cents because of my small BR.

No problem, congrats on winning an rgt.

You can use it for any cash table, so you can go to the regular 2nl tables with it, just sit with 2$ and any profit you make over that when you leave the table will go directly into your br. Just remember you have to use the ticket at least 1 time in the past 7 days or it will expire. To unlock the 5$ into your br you have to rake 125FTP which is a lot for a single 2nl table which is why I always opted to take shots with the RGT in 5nl or recently the adrenaline rush tables and would stand up when i had a significant profit for it to roll into my br.

Just started on the Edge freeroll. Haven't won anything yet. Just got my KQ c pwned by 5 3o. Had a Q pair on the flop. He bets, I raise, he re-raises and I shove. He only had bottom pair.

The guy rivered trips. I'm wondering if he knew he was gonna get that last 3 on the river.

UL, yes the games are certainly fish/donk infested. However if he "KNEW" the 3 was comming, obv not possible, I'm sure he would play something different than a freeroll with those kind of powers lol.

These tournaments went from being a very nice perk to actual players to being an incredible waste of time.
I don't see how anyone who actually plays could think this is a good thing.

This is one of the reasons I am abandoning FTP and moving to Stars.

As for where to spend FTPs, depending on the amount, BR and time:
- satellites
- wait for the discount promotion and buy tournament tickets

Im about to achieve bronze it think today or tomorrow, it is pretty easy to win 1ftp a day, specially at fishy new to game 2nl this is probably why the daily edge fr quality dropped down, because donks like me can easily qualify.

i was thinking to play only on stars but after Dave pointed that daily edge is free i said to myself lets try it, if it is no good ill abandon it for good.

Just a quicky not so related question, does point accumulates same at stars and full tilt?

Congrats on almost being to bronze, yes it is pretty easy to maintain the level as well which will keep you with access to them, they can be a bit of a crapshoot at times but usually once you get deeper in the non super turbo one the play quality does tend to increase. Good Luck with them, grinded a little cash on ftp myself last night (2nl rush for about 3 hours, 3k+hands and about 100ftp lol, little profit as went up and then hit a few coolers kk vs aa and dropped down so was up like 1$).

With regards to your question, do you mean do you get the same amount of ftp for 1$ rake as you do vpp for 1$ rake? If so I'm not 100% sure what the deal with accumulating amounts in cash games. I find I get .5ftp for a turbo 50c tourny which is like 6c rake I think, but because of the happy hours etc if you hit those you accumulate ftp quicker (probably why i got so many last night).

I know with stars you get you get 5.5vpp for 1$ rake in tourny fees, but not sure on the ftp points exactly. Should be info on the website about it though.

Im asking because im planing to go to chrome star in february on stars, main reason is monthly cc freeroll which i think is preety good deal... If the raking and points work same then 100points wont be thar hard, my main problem is volume, i dont have much time to play, i only play something betwen 100 and 300 hands a day lately on two tables...

Im running good last few days, i know that it is a lol sample size but im average 1 buyun up when ever i left. Had a bad start yesterday i underesrumate those guys a bit and was down few bucks but at the end if the day i was 1 buyin up...

Yeah it's not too hard to get chromestar if your playing cash games for a few hours here and there I don't think. I bumped my levels this month with stt's and it took about 100 1.5$ stt's to get my 100vpp. I do believe there is a calculator on the pokerstars website where you can estimate how many vpp's you would get over so many hands (an estimate obv but could give you an idea).

Won me a RGT last night just by the skin of my teeth with 140 chippies left after folding the small blind of 1k lol. Managed to bank about 10$ into the br before hitting a few suckouts in the adrenaline rush to bust the ticket. I'll take a free 10$ with no br risk anyday lol.

I may start to take advantage of this. I have only had a edge once and that was last year when I joined FTP they gave me 10 0.50 tickets so I played these SnG's that they gave me as a link. I cashed in 3 of them, then I lost the edge status as I only played the daily freerolls and the country based freerolls.

I still miss the UK freerolls

Same here, they gave us all silver edge that lasted a month or something, since then i havent achieved it again, to be honest u didnt rake anything since i was busto for about a year there, im hoping for a bronze in a next day or two, dont have much time to play...

It's pretty easy to maintain the bronze, only recently fell down there myself as hadn't really played much on ftp since I was playing cash back in october I think it was. My main focus is stars, but am again dabling a little with cash on ftp the past couple of days in the 2nl rush (4 tabling rush is some crazy shit lol).

Basically play 2 50c stt's each day and that will give and maintain bronze status of 1ftp rolling average. Good lucks with it, yeah its too bad they don't still have some of those freerolls like the country specific but at least with these edge freerolls it will get people playing and generating rake even if at a small amount.

Edit: Meant to add that Silver+ status is certainly good if you grind cash on ftp because of the higher rake than exists, and anything silver+ edge status gets your rake back $$$ into your account. I looked at my <5k 2nl rush hands last night and am up 6$ while paying like 9.50$ in rake LOL, brutal stuff granted i had a downswing and recovered thus such a small profit, feel like I'm going to crush the 2nl rush games lol so much fun.

Each 55c gtd is probably similar to 1 stt or less, I believe the 5c is rake on the gtd right, and in a turbo stt i believe its 6c of the 50c is rake, 7c for the regular, and like 5c for the HT i think. I play lots of their HT lately, and starting monday they have a promo on for stt's.

Basically cash in stt's to win tickets to a flip stt where you could win the buyin value of 1 stt, or collect 10 flip tickets and they can be kept and auto converted to 1 stt ticket. It's kinda neat if playing them anyhow, I think you have to cash 3 times in regular speed, 4 times in turbo, or 5 times in HT or something like that to get a flip ticket. Think I might grind the crap out of HT's and see if I can't get me a bunch of tickets, just at times when I want a break from the stars grind.

I just played it 1 of the .50 stt and I was KO'd against my KK which I had won with this several hands ago. This time tho I lost to a set of Qs.

I decided to play the FR tho as I am not too familiar to 6max.

I have just checked on my current rolling av is 0.04 atm and I need 1.00 in a 30 day period.

I can't stand turbos lol I would go insane if I played HT

The guarantees I play are not turbo, I only play the escalator. I am playing that one now. and again in the 2nd 0.50 stt I play my KK is beat by a straight. When I seen the A on the flop I should of just shoved as he had the gutshot then, oh well never mind.
