FTP - Build Your Bonus

So fulltilt got a promotion going on now, well started yesterday actually, called build your bonus. Basically you rack up FTP between the 19th and 28th and depending on the amount(100, 1000, 2000, 5000) you get a bonus(5, 50, 200, 400) of which 40% is released on the 29th and then you get to grind again to release the other 60% of which the time you get depends on how many days during the initial 10 days that you earned ftp. For each day you earned FTP you get a day to release the bonus.

I'm sure for those who are playing on fulltilt they are aware, but figured would start up a thread so we could all converse and let each other know how we did. The numbers above are from memory so could be slightly off, but i think its pretty close .

I started my grind last night, 50c hyper 6man. I figure they will be the best way for me to grind out as many FTP as I can, because its only the base FTP that count towards the bonus and each of these gives .5 ftp so I have to grind a grap load of them (I am hoping to reach the 1000 ftp bonus of 50$).

Also wasn't sure if this should be general poker or the challenge section, so if should be on the challenge side please move (Thanks).

I opted in for that, going to grind a ton of HU's hypers on it I hope and go for 1000 points, we'll see though if that happens lol.

I think i cannot acomplish this dont have enought funds opted in too!

My target is 2k points, got almost 300 yesterday so it should be easily doable. Playing 10NL cash games and a few tourneys (Velociraptors).

Hey all, gl on the grind for sure. I know its not the easiest thing to do but not the most difficult either I suppose, with a decent br could certainly be grinding more myself, but playing 50c hyper sng's earning .5 ftp each, takes me 200sng to get 100ftp so looking at 2k sng's before the 28th to grind in a 1000ftp, got about 58 or so last night which is not bad.

I figured if I can get in 50 or 60 mon-thurs (so 200 - 240), I can grind me out 3x that over the weekend and then finish it up the last couple of evenings. Who knows, depending on how things go might be able to switch over to the 1$ and that will help me grind those ftp a little quicker .

Cash games would certainly be a great way to build, the points but kinda stearing away from cash games if I can these days as they usually tilt me off lol.

FTP grind going well, or at least it was until last night. After around three evenings on the grind heading towards probably 200FTP which I figure works pretty good to put me on track for the 1kftp goal in the 10 days (given would play more on weekend days).

However this took a big turn for the worst last night, had moved up to the 1$ hyper 6max as was up around an 80bi br (had planned to wait until I hit 100, given being hyper and higher varience), and well lets just say it went horribly getting kk cracked by qj, kk sucked out to a q on the river verses qq, can't count how many times I lost with a pair to the overcards (which i know is only 54% in my favor) but also lost countless times with big AK's or AQ, AJ to the underpairs. Definitely didn't hit an average on both of theses flips. Think I might have take a 1st, and 2nd out of the set of 16, so down around 10$.

I should have dropped back after this, however the 50c games seemed kinda dead so I regd another set, did a little better not loosing so many big pairs to suck outs (undercards making it) but still wound up down another 5 or so. Bringing me down to around 65bi for the 1$, so I decided to hold of for a little bit.

*On a side note had been playing a few hypers on pokerstars as well and running even worse, and a couple of satalites to the nightly 7.5k 10$ (1R1A), of which i would unregister to get the tourny $. Was going well, but then dropped back to being down a couple of bucks and to make it worse until one of the stalites ran longer than expected and I wound up in the tourny. So played hard, but wound up getting knocked out after maybe 2.5hrs (having taken the addon, which should have never done because br was only minor over on stars as been running bad there as well) as had gotton crippled by a Q3 calling my raise (he had limped) with a Q10, and him hooking two pair to my pair.

Anyhow this is getting long winded, so needless to say had to transfer some funcs to pstars from fulltilt after that tourny, and continued to run bad all over the place (I know my problem was I kept playing on such a bad run) and needless to say, my once combined 3 figure br that had grinded from 30bucks between stars and ftp has been reduced back to 25 now, grrr.

Time for a little break and back to grinding again after work friday. Hope its running better for most than it is I.

It's too hard for me this, because the chances is bigger to lose all my bankroll than to make that much FTPs and get some good bonus.

hey abedin, not meant to take any chances or shots that should cause br issues. My plan was to just focus a harder grind on the level i was already playing, however ran into some issues as can see in prev post but still got me the chance to build my br back up and gain some ftp granted Im behind for sure because I lost internet here last night early.

Just something to opt into, just about anyone playing anything over the span of 10 days could probably builds the 100 and get a bonus from it. Anyhow, time for me to go and get on a grind for a bit again. Have a good one.

How's the target looking now bluff? I got the 100 ftps, gonna take the 2 dollars, but u gotta release the bonus cash then ya? Might leave that bit, playing micro PLO on FTP is so tilty these days

heya midget, its not looking haha. as per a previous post I had above hit a mojorly bad couple of days that cripled my br. The weekend didn't go all that great either and finished me off the rest of the way so looks like it will be out of reach for sure, id say I hit the 3-400 range on the ftp I suppose towards the 1k but no way to be hitting the 1k at this point unless I can go on a sick heater this evening with the 1 50c bi I have left on there.

Pstars hasn't been going great either, but I'm hoping I can grind out some over there and get me a few bucks back on ftp. (I'm sure i had more in this when I posted initially earlier this morning but I'm sure wasn't anything special so will end it here).

its great promotion.. too bad for me that I have just 20 dollars on fulltilt so I didnt even tried it. Generally fulltilt has the best promotions so far in my opinion, sometimes its really easy to get some extra dollars from them. They just pissed me off with that freerolls change :/

I lost a day (almost no play on the 26th) so today was insane, back on track though and unless my Internet dies I am gonna snatch the 2k points bonus (100$, yey!).

I am managing to be in profit too, which is super nice since I am getting $$$ from bonus and rakeback (15$ so far this week, nice) so the idea was to break even while grinding.

Nice on the bonus. Just gonna be 2$ for me , and hopefully get a few bucks friday from edge rewards so ill have a few bucks to try and grind my way back over there. Looking forward to the cc freeroll come sunday, havn't managed to make the money in either one yet (only played three so far) but would be great to soon do so. Certainly looking forward to the 3 on saturday, should be good fun and hope for a good run.

In olden days Full Tilt had some promotions from time to time where you couldn't lose, if you knew what you were doing. Too bad Black Friday spoiled everything.

this was probably one of the only such promotions I have opted into on FTP, and sucks that I went broke during the original grind (granted I have come back to and now grinding cash so unlocked my other 3$ portion of my bonus over two nights). Looking forward to their next promotions, and hoping this grind on cash will help keep my edge status so I can maximize it during my cash gring (as playing 1c/2c and look back over 2k hands to have paid like 5$ in rake is nuts haha, 250bb in rake for a session)
