Does anyone know where to find Full Tilt's criteria for banning? I know a guy who has multiple accounts so he can enter three-four accounts into a single tourney and switch through them if he gets knocked out early. I've actually seen this done in a smaller tourney too, I just figured it would be easy enough for Full Tilt to catch multiple accounts from a single IP logging on and off quickly.

My brother and I are actually using the same router so our IP's are the same, and we haven't gotten in any trouble yet. I'd just like to look into this to make sure my funds don't get seized.

Moved this post since it was in an old thread and the wrong section so you could get some replies...

What you are describing is completely against FTP's (and any other poker site's) rules. As soon as he tries to make a withdrawal, I'm sure it will be caught.

As for you and your brother, as long as you are each playing on your own accounts, and not colluding, chip-dumping, or doing anything else against FTP's TOS, then you're fine. Just to be on the safe side, you may want to send them an email just to let them know that you each have your own account, but live in the same household.

I tried to answer in the original thread (which was dead, rotten and buried long time ago btw) but juiceeQ beat me to it.

I'd go with her advice here and especially with the highlighted part.

My girlfriend and I share the same IP adress and I informed FT support just to be safe.

They said it was all good aslong as we didn't play in the same stt or small mtt or sit at the same table in ring.

Ship me names of accounts via PM and I will make sure high level security people at FTP look into this, as long as you are 100% sure this is happening. Many of the sites have recently gotten much tougher on MAers, cheaters, etc. You would be helping out the community alot by reporting these POS types, because they are only cheating everyone who plays. Your name would be kept out of any reports.

If I can get the names I will, he's my brothers friend and he was playing over at our house when I heard about it, so I'm only an acquaintance of him.

And thanks everyone, haha I feel a lot safer now. For a little while I was worried I was going to get my account closed of have my funds seized. It should be easy to prove because we've both deposited money through different credit cards or bank accounts. Hopefully that'll be enough to verify us.

The problem you may have if you do not do some proactive reporting yourself, is if they discover his accounts have behaved "badly", they may investigate and at least temporarily close down all accoounts that have an IP Match until they investigate (which can be a pain in the butt - but eventually you should have your account back - or they may try to play it safe and shut it down also depending on how badly the guy playing at your house has broken the rules)

Hahahaha you're right man, that does sound like a guilty question. Like the girl who goes to the guidance counselor because her friend's boyfriend is pressuring her to have sex.

But honestly, this guy I met is real. When I use my 5 different accounts I get on 5 different computers and get in the same sitngo. (Just so everyone knows, I'm just joking. I barely even play sitngos).

This is a big problem for the sites. It does go on. Just be careful when play mid limits because that is where most scumbags play. I was going to register for a tournament once but didn't because I noticed names (somewhat) like these aready registered: xxSlingoxx
xxPhilcoxx
xxSickoxx

If anyone has these names, this post is not for you. I made these names up.

I really wonder how hard the sites do crack down on this? Maybe once every year or 2 they bust someone? I think they say they crack down, but don't because they don't care who wins... and suckers will always reload

I would never let anyone play on my IP who was multi-accounting... and you shouldn't either. You never know.. you might get your funds seized because you let this happen... so they might tie your account to it also, you never know.
I have had a few friends who wanted to play poker at my house when we were having a LAN party(sc2, css, etc...), but I decided to just keep playing video games, and told them not to sign on to their poker accounts through my IP just to be safe. I mean why risk your money and your account, when you know you are legit, by having some scumbag playing poker through your IP who might or might not be legit.
So for me.. I am the only one who ever signs on to any poker site through my IP, therefore the site will never have anything to question me about.
