I think I may take a shot at the Dec 26th tourney providing I'm not hungover from Christmas! I have 7500 points just sitting there for years now doing nothing.

Does anyone know how this will be treated for rakeback? After the hit for spending FT points, will they treat is as a freeroll, or the $ equvilant to 2000 FTPs ($9 or so)?

The satellites for this one do NOT award a tournament ticket, but direct entry into the 100K tourney. This means you can win a satellite, unregister, and keep the points. I have qualified a dozen times or so already, so I'll be playing in this one as well, and I've built up my FPPs in the process.

I asked the same question and got this answer:

This would cause a $10 deduction to your MGR. Using FTPs always costs $0.005 per point spent. Since your rakeback is 27% of MGR, the tournament would actually cost you $2.70

Yeah, I get that spending the points would cost me $2.70 in rakeback. What I don't know is if they'll hit me again for the overlay. And if for the overlay they would treat it as a $10 buy-in (the equivalent to 2000 FTPs) or a freeroll.

I grinded my way from 1500 points to 2,000 in about 6 days of happy hour rush 5nl. lol lost 10 bucks but now I never have to play rush again and I get into this tourney and the 50k Holiday Giveaway Freeroll. As long as I cash in one of them, I'll make up for losses
