Could someone please help me?
I opened an account for my wife with the intention of teaching her to play poker, plus what I thought I was doing with a good intention I ended up cheating and having my account frozen. My name is Washington nick: wsbar, this nick originated with the initials of my name W, the initial of my about S name, and because I have a specialty retailer of "BAR" drinks. My girlfriend created her account with the initial of my name W, the initial of her name J, and the "BAR" that is directly involved in our life Nick: wjbar. Would you like to know why this happened? What if there is a possibility of thawing? I'm desperate, ladies and gentlemen, because I confess, I'm addicted to poker. Help me.

Hello mate, I was frozen last year because I made a meeting of friends in my house and one of my friends lent me my laptop and started session in pokerstars, and after a few days they froze my account, then I wrote to support and they asked me to send them my identification and a service invoice, I sent them the documentation and after a few days they enabled my account, get in touch with the support of pokerstars so they can enable your account

It is not a good idea to open another account from the same IP address, if you do that, they will also freeze that account

I do not lend my laptop to anyone now, nor ever open another user's session on my laptop, hopefully you're lucky, sometimes pokerstars do not unfreeze accounts

Do you have a letter template to serve as a defense base?

just tell them that they froze your account, but write them from the email that you opened the account at pokerstars

pokerstars is much stricter in its security system, especially to detect multi-accounts

I just think that you'll have to write a letter anyway and it's better than not doing anything and waiting.

Hi! This is the reply I got from support@starsaccount.com regarding me and my girlfriend both playing from the same IP address:

Hello Maurits,

Thank you for contacting us.

We are happy for friends, relatives, and acquaintances to play at the same tables against each other. However, when you do so, you are expected to play just as competitively against your friends as you would against any other player, and you must not share any information about the cards that you hold with them or make any playing agreements in secret (doing so is collusion, which is strictly prohibited).

The relevant section of our End User Licence Agreement can be found on our website at:

https://www.pokerstars.eu/poker/room/tos/

Rule #7 of our Card Room Rules states that:

"Collusion, by which two or more players work together in the games or share knowledge to gain an unfair advantage over other players, is strictly prohibited.”

You can read our Card Room Rules in full on our website:

https://www.pokerstars.eu/poker/room/policies/

and

https://www.pokerstars.[ENTERDOMAIN]/poker/tournaments/rules/

If you have an agreement to share a bankroll, stake, or split profits with your friend, then in the interest of game integrity you must not play at the same cash game table or in the same Sit & Go tournament.

Players who live in the same household, whatever their relationship, must not play at the same cash game table or in the same Sit & Go tournament with 45 players or less. In some cases, this restriction will be imposed automatically by the game software. This restriction does not apply to scheduled Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs) or 2-player heads-up matches. In MTTs, due to the large numbers of players, friends or relatives are unlikely to be seated next to each other. In heads-up matches, since there are only two players, the only person with whom you can share your cards with, is your opponent... not a good idea.

However, Stars has launched a special feature called Home Games : Home Games will allow Club Members to sit at the same table, even if they are playing from the same IP or shared location, in any type of game. One of the main features is to give all players the possibility to join a game from the same location.

More details about Home Games can be found at our web sites under:

https://www.pokerstars.eu/poker/home-games/

https://www.pokerstars.eu/poker/home-games/faq/

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and thank you for playing with us.

Regards,

John
Stars Support

I hope this helps you :)

You can have more than one account in the same household. They will need to confirm that you are indeed two persons. Id/Proof of address.

If you can get on to the Stars client use the live chat it is available 8-5 ET if not use the link below put your registered Stars email at top select relevant catergories and sub catergoies.

Note be truthful with them if you created another account for yourself or cannot provide documents for you wife or your wife doen't want to provide documents. Please let them know. Your account will not banned for the first offense. They will just ask you to close the other account and give you a stern warning.

I had my account frozen some time ago because I opened a account, used it for a while and stop playing. Then a year later, I start playing again and decided to open a new one, just to have a real new start. After few months, I needed to make a transfer and my account was frozen.I sent an email to PS asking why they did it, and they said I was using multiple accounts possibly to fraud the site. I answered explaining to then what happened and using the argument that I never logged the two accounts at the same time and never played with both any game, and there was a long time that I didn't use the first one.
They answer me that they would check it and after a few days they unfrozen my account.
What I could suggest to you is to send a email to PS support explaining what happened and asking for permission to your wife use the same IP than you. It's possible that it works.
But if you registered in same tournament than her using the same IP, you are in trouble.

It has just happened to me today. Informed to ps email support (as the message of frozen account ordered) with my id pic attached). This occurred exactly because I have more than one nicknames related to me in the same machine, despite use only one and never used than simultaneously.

You could have been banned for playing in the same tournament from the same Mac address. Also, someone observant saw similar nicknames in the lobby and snitched on you to the support service. In any case, you need to write to support and seek the truth.

They transferred the money to the first account and deleted the second one.

I think Pokerstars is right about being concerned about multiple accounts. But they are open to hear a good explanation

Do you know why they have had frozen your Pokerstars account? To withdraw the funds you need an unfrozen account.
