Is this frowned upon?

Say you have a significant amount on your online account and last time you cashed out the check was sent 2 u, but ur bank basically took the check processed and won't give you any of the money from said check... Since this happened you have no trust in cashing out again just to get stuck for the money by your bank.. So instead of cashing out you simply want to sell the money off your account at a discounted rate say 90c on the dollar or possibly 80c... Is this tactic allowed?

That's chip dumping. A big no-no.

If you make a player to player transfer is ok (if the room have this option),but if you make chip dumping (loose youre money at the tables, intentionally,to another player) you will have youre account blocked and money confiscated.

Hi, as InsertMoreCoins & PCK said chip dumping is 100% outlawed at any & every site.... But as for player to player transfer, be careful to check your terms of service as I think on pokerstars & Full Tilt the player who recieves the money will not be able to withdraw it, at least not straight away. To avoid money laundering (& perhaps increase profits- cynical? me? never!) they will require him/her to play through the transferred amount, somewhat like clearing a deposit bonus...
I'm sure there's plenty CCer's that are far more qualified to explain this than me, but just do a bit of reading first :deal: .... Like carpentry, measure twice & cut once!

you would be able to do player to play transfers but after awhile I would say your account would start to get red flagged with you transferring large amounts of cash to different people maybe your best of asking your bank as to why the funds are not being payed to u and what u need to do to receive your funds

I thought seriously about doing that awhile back. Was going to do it from Carbon to ACR. But you know what? You never know who you are talking to on here, and putting you money in their hands. Worse things have happened. And that don't even count the band. Both players would lose a lot. Maybe "Think before you Click" can apply to other things other than poker. LOL Really don't know where I got that.

That would require the sites assistant and they have made it clear it's my problem not theirs

I am not sure how you would do this logistically but I guess if you know someone personally that plays there and is willing to do it I don't see why not. Although I would not suggest trying to do it all online unless you really trust the person or know them offline or have met in person. I would be cautious with anyone you don't know but I don't think that would be an issue. Good Luck!

Haven't seen anyone explain why the bank would be able to hold the money like this. How can they do this and could he possibly change banks to be able to deposit the money?

It has never made any sense to me, but if they feel it's fraud than I think they have a legitimate excuse to hold it and usually when it isn't fraud.... Well than you would be able to provide them a number from where the check came from (which bovada refuses to) or the bank it came from would confirm it ( but of course their customer privacy laws don't permit them to release information on their customers accounts).

Why don't you just use a different cash out metod, like auto bank transfer?

Not possible as this point as Bovada refuses to refund me the money... They say the money has already been taken out of their account lol but they can't put a stop on the money since I have never received it and sent them proof that I haven't done so.. Only possible explanation is that that they sent me a bad check and are unwilling to pay the payout.. Some companies decide not to live up to their end of the :deal:
