Lol thats funny. Coincidentally (sp?) that was my first royal flush as well, spades too.

Guy pushed on the river. I thought it was rather stupid so I let the time run down until I was nearly automatically folded, then called :D

What's odd is that I've been playing poker for maybe 8 months and in the last month ive made three (my only three, not counting the board royal) royal flushes two of them using both hole cards. Only one of them winning a decent pot.

One of my pet peeves playing poker is when the board is the nuts (most often a 10-A straight with no flush possibilities) and some jackass goes all-in in an attempt to make me fold, and I have to call or I lose the money in the pot, but by increasing the pot size, the rake is increased.
The general stupidity of this move always astounds me.
I guess this is only relevant to a cash game where there is a rake, so if it was a tourney throw them chips in I guess.... maybe someone will accidentally hit the fold button :D

Don't the other players at your table have it too?
Does it REALLY count?;)

I'm just wondering what you were doing calling to the river w/ 8-2os. ;)

I'm gonna move this over to the "Playing Poker" forum. :)

Major agreeance

It only has to happen one time for the move to be +EV - especially if you catch someone napping at the tables.
